Sleep Debt

Not only I pulled a couple of all-nighters this week, I also had only 4 hours of sleep the day before yesterday. Being aware of how unhealthy this is, I decided to [[ LINK REMOVED ]]
and see how many extra hours of slumber my body probably needs right now... and, well, I find out I owe my body almost 36 hours of deep snoring in bed

So, who else has not had enough sleep lately? How's your sleep debt?

(I'm off to bed, by the way, see you guys tomorrow )

Oh, how I love those days!

I am kinda in the same boat - but due to rotating shifts. I've been working 8a-6p for the last two weeks (ending Tuesday). I start two weeks of 10p-8a tonight and I've been struggling to get my body in transition. I've had around 6 hours of normal sleep since that time. I have to go into work in 4 hours and can't wait.

i only sleep 3-4 hours a night

pretty unhealthy, but that's the way it has to be :/

I've been doing something weird lately that I really wish would stop. I eat lunch AFTER 5pm, when my breakfast is at 8am. By the time I eat lunch, my body is tired from lack of food, so I basically eat then pass out for a few hours. I always wake up tired, disoriented, and have no idea if I need to stay up more or go back to sleep and wake up early in the morning.

I just need to eat before 5

Posted by ManiX on Jun-27-2008 10:43:

dude...try eating once...but a lot and drink a lot of water or lemon juice...and sleep for a couple of hours...when u wake up u should have more energy in yourself...works for me though...

dude, continue with the breakfast...and try to eat a bit every 2-3 hours after breakfast...and if you're tired before your usual bed time...try getting in bed at 10-11 pm...and if u wake up early and still tired...go to sleep again......and when u wake up and feel rested...try to eat something with carbohydrates...fruit or something else....but in no case meat...i had the same problem 2 months ago...and this worked for me...hope it does for u too...

Yeah that. Its exam season now. Its way to hot to study during the day (my brain gets all fuzzy above 35C and its been hovering around 38 for the past week) so i get most of my studying done from 11pm to 4 am...the i have to get up at 6 because i have other shit to do. My caffeine input is way up again.

fell asleep on the couch on saturday around 19 and woke up the day after 08.50. i'm no trendy no-sleeper

Posted by XaNaX on Jun-27-2008 11:37:

I'm 24 hours in the hole since Saturday. Fuck in order to get up for work today I set the first alarm on my dual alarm clock an hour early so I could take a bunch of amphetamine pills so that when the second alarm went off they would be in effect and I could get out of bed.

I wish caffeine did anything for me... I usually just eat an apple or two and it's the only thing that works for me.

lol yeah the formula I usually use is:

prescribed dose x 3 = my dose

eventually they will quit fucking up and giving me double prescriptions and I'll be screwed

I appreciate the advice, but when I woke up after a nap last night I made some awesome 80s music. If I'm productive like that every day... who needs food?

You haven't seen a true face if you have never before asked someone to fill a humongous mug which one would use for regular coffee full of espresso while opening the first red bull from a six pack.

Coincidentally 5 espresso shots , 2 red bulls and a banana was my breakfast yesterday. I would have skipped the banana but espresso will drill a hole right trough your stomach if you're not careful.

I also have trouble sleeping. For a last few months I go to bed around 3am, and get up around 9. That's bad

I declared sleep bankruptcy a few months ago to escape about 2000 hours of sleep debt. Fortunately it hasn't affected my sleep credit rating; I can still borrow just as much.
