comments on the Rane TTM56 mixer?
greets,
now that I have turntables... im looking at mixers, would like to upgrade... to something that will satisfy me for some time..
Been looking at 10" mixers mostly - I like the smaller size, plus I already have a 10" table/mixer coffin ;)
my two 'cantidates' at this point is the A&H X:one32 and the Rane TTM56... I know the X:one32 is an excellent mixer... but I know little of the TTM56.
Anyone played on one, or own one? It would be cool to hear about them :)

I'd say it depends on what you wanna do.
If you're into turntablism (fast and heavy scratching and so on), the TTM-56 is probably the best piece of hardware you can get (together with the Xone:02). You can mix with this mixer too, but that's not the main purpose of the TTM-56. Smooth faders, extremely fast cut in points are the big advantages of this mixer, and this is necessary for turntablism. The FlexFx system is a breeze to use also, if you plan to add an effector later on.
Great sound and build quality.
If you're more into plain mixing, but still want some abilities to scratch decently, I'd opt for the Xone:32. It's more designed for mixing than for scratching. Awesome quality, the VCF's are sweet (I own a Xone:62 and the VCF are great). The only downpoint I can think of is the placement of the gain pots (on the backpanel), but you'll have to accomodate to that.
So I'd say if your game is turntablism : TTM-56 or Xone:02
If you're a mixologist : Xone:32
You can't go wrong with either of them...
