Love Poundin' Sensation [prog/sidechain trance] Atmotion - Over the Ocean (160/320kbps/Full )

hello again,

hot summer days just don't seem to end (atleast here in finland)

here is my newest production. its a nice melodic trance choon wich i think could be realistic to hear for example in an ASOT mix (i'm so full of my self m'kay). what do you people think?

1. listen/download (160kbps): click here

2. direct download 1 (160kbps): [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

3. direct download 2 (320kbps): click here (the download limit is a pain but try to grab this for the HQ version)

4. if the links don't work or file was deleted etc. send me a pm and i will send you a direct link for a working file.

enjoy t3h choonage

btw. made this with fruity loops 5 (yes rly) in about ~11 hours. damn hot day it was but got it done atleast!

edit1: changed the title genre a bit.
edit2: added a new HQ version download mirror.

There's progressive trance, progressive trance with sidechain, and then there's sidechain trance. Some fall into a hybrid of the three depending on the track structure and whether or not one DJ will drop it over another.

This is prog-but-99.9%-sidechain-trance with a touch of sidechain. I love the sidechain, don't get me wrong in the slightest.

However, if I could give this track a color, it would be silver and white. There's so much sheering, blinding treble in the mix that the bassline really sticks out well even though it is not very well defined. Okay, that's a bad hyperbole, but the sidechain maximization made the treble feel like bubbles rising up and down; up and down in the shell of my cranium bouncing like a sharp carbon-fizz overload.

Searingly jumping a razor's edge... but the track ended up sounding pretty 'hip' at the same time.

Believe me, I do love sidechain in EDM... I just love to

TEASE the USE of IT

thanks for the comment/clarification. I do try to make something different hearing the pretty generic songs usually on the radio etc. I'm not good when it comes to giving genres so i thank you for this explanation.

Also love the sidechain. I'm kind of obsessed with it actually.. I just try not to use it too much..

I liked the start. Nice atmospheric sounds.

But the tune lacks

-Good mixing
-Low and mid frequencies, even on headphones it lacks warmth..
-Variation

The main melody is a Menno de Jong recycled sound which i really dislike as main themes unless composed well.

Hope that helps

I must say (as I'm listening to the track on my laptop), that you're lying when you say you are fairly new to music.

It takes guys years to build a track like this, I actually like it very much.
With critisism you'll have to wait till I'm in the studio again, that I'll give it a listen on my monitors.

well 8 years i have been playing around with mad tracker/fruity loops. i still have alot to learn, but in my humble opinion this track sounds quite professional. anyway, good/bad critisism is always appreciated so i know if i'm going to the right direction or not.
