ok, since I didnt go.. did PVD play Let Go?!??!

just got home, had a pretty good time. benny didn't really hit my fancy but everyone else was pretty good in my opinion.
eddie was pretty dam good, a real shame he was so early on in the night, he probably would've worked better later on in the night

Order goes.. Eddie, menno, BT (since he played so many classics). I wasnt really feeling everyone else.

Real quick post before I hit my wall.


1. The line to get in.. SUCKED!!! WTF!!! it took us 1.5 hours to get in. Major cluster fcuk!!! and the 25 bucks for Parking... really??? times that by 40,000 people ++!!


2. How not to start a party: Pass out while in line... having a seizure before even getting in and not being able to handle your party favors...

3. Menno's set not being long enough

4. Puddles puddles every where... and asking did she really wear that... oh wait she did.

5. Great seeing friends and those we have partied before.

I loved seeing the main area fill up and go off!!!

Left around 10:10 to go see Above and Beyond at Vanguard GOOD TIMES!!!

I wish it was only 1.5 hours. I was in line for over 3 hours. That's unacceptable. USC manages to get twice as many people in & out of the Coliseum without any problem. There's no excuse for the clusterfuck that was the entrance. Insomniac should be ashamed. It was a pretty dangerous situation. And having to go through that after getting raped for parking? Pretty fucked up.

At the top of the list of things I didn't need to see:

yo what was up with the sound system in the main room? that was weak! the music wasnt even loud and you could barely hear the bass, they would turn the knob higher or lower on the sound system or somethign cuz i could barely hear the music from far back

i thought i left early in time to see menno (i left at 5:30). the line to get in the event was TOO damn long. waited about 1 hr and 30 mins. and made me miss menno de jong! wtf is that??

circuitGROUNDS was right on point, bad ass set up with bad ass system which blared the music through the speakers. it felt good

overall: EDC did not top last year or the year after that

Right..... Well how else are they gonna sell you on their VIP Tickets next time. Leave this bad door experience taste in everyones mouth, then see how much the VIP ticket sales goes up next time...

yea $25 was a tad steep for nosebleed parking at that...

my only comment about USC being able to pack em in is that, at USC games they aren't looking for drugs, just weapons, so add that onto your search and yea, its gonna be longer, but I TOTALLY agree with you, the lines and the cutting and the way they handled everything was pretty freshmen at best, which leads me back to my first point. Sell VIP tickets...

Fuck would have been nice to see Menno and Eddie when it was dark and the stadium floor was more than 1/4 full.. I'd have traded Bennie's time set any day for a chance to move them up a few slots.. PVD did a good set overall, minus any track he sings on, IMO...

shit i'd move Moby back to the start with Bennie, if I had my way....

I was pissed off at the lines. 3+hrs for me, I missed Menno AND the interview ><. Bennassi kinda hit me from left-field when he dropped Cafe del Mar, of all things. CL owned, nice guy too

Let it be known that Insomniac doens't know or CARE how to deal with that many people. They always, always have this entrance issue. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable.

So how was that Funktion One System?

i have to admit, VIP was more worth it last night then any other VIP i have gotten. We walked right in at 6PM, and the two VIP staircases going down to main area were golden. No lines for free drinks all night.

CL and PVD played great, Bennassi was so damn boring, and right in the middle of a great party!!

The sound kept going out in the main room, i wasnt to impressed with it at any point during the night.

I was wondering where the VIP sections where even placed or what it even got you besides quick entry.

There where bathrooms just up the bleachers that had no line and flushed!

It was really also disturbing to see so many kids high or talking about getting high at this event. But I guess that comes with the all Ages thing. My question is why these events are not 18 and over??? Do they really have to be all ages.

I heard that tickets at the door where 70!!! Can you imagine getting tickets at the door and having to wait 1.5-3 hours after paying that!!!!

My only hope is that now Menno gets a proper set now in La!!!

I was in front of the line... about 15 feet away from the corner adn it took me about 2 hours to get in.. i really liked how joaquin trainwrecked hard when he turned off hte CDJ. What i didnt like was hearing the same songs over and over again. I heard hte fatboy slim song twice.. cafe del mar twice.. and a few others i remember hearing twice. I really didnt like PVDs set.. i found it really boring and making me sleepy.. and he basically did the same exact thing that eddie did for strut. Benny had some nice tracks but his set was pretty boring too. Moby fucking cranked hte volume up like crazy.

How packed it was this year

WOW, I didnt wait that long in line to get in...I was waiting for a friend, that was all we really waited for. It was great to see the looooooooooong exit line off the freeway for both exits. I went 1 exit past, went up to Hoover and drove straight across to MLK and into the parking lot. Yea, wtf is up with $25 for parking!! Anyways, sent my hubby to get the will call tickets while I got guest list, he said the groovetickets will call was insane as well. He just went around the side, work his way to a window since no one was moving, got the tickets, came to the guest list will call window to find me and our friend, played phone/txt tag to find another friend, found him, waited 20 minutes if that and we were in. We didnt enter thru the main gate(the mouth), we entered the gates by the bathroom(gate 4 I believe). EASY! lift your hands up, walk thru, checked my bag(not a good job ).

Once we gathered all together(more friends had to be found), we went down to the floor. watched the last bit of Eddie, stayed for a weeeeee bit of CL but then off to see D. Ramirez. He had me going...a little weird to start but then had me going with those sick sounds. Went to see RITM...same show but still good. DAMN, that sound was loud!! I had to stick napkin pieces in my ears. Found more friends as we left that stage! That was great! After chatting, we went back to the floor and caught the last 20 minutes of Benny...didnt care one way or another about that, too busy walking thru fucking puddles!!! Found a great spot for Moby... I just thought he was SICK!!! After dancing, we went to sit in the seats...OMG, that was a bitch to get up those stairs. They should have had alternating staircases going in one direction cuz trying to get up the stairs was a bitch. Sat for rest of Moby(40 minutes) and for the beginning of PVD. After a short while, we went to the floor for the last time. We started to go up the stairs , grabbed our friend stationed there, then started to head out.

GOOD TIMES!!! an old friend came out, we said HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him at midnight and our group was just having fun! Yes, there were frustrating moments but my fun times totally out weigh those.

Haha, ran into TSG and Karen on the floor and found Malia in the seats.

ok, done. sorry if its rambling like. Fun guys and other things are still messin' with my head.

line to get in was terrible. not even a line just a bunch of random ppl trying to get in. giant clusterfuck.

music was mediocre, and crowd was terrible with too many kids. very disorganized event imo.

...on the other hand, the cubitron rocked fucking nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

having gone to edc for the past 4 years, i think i'm over all ages massives for awhile. they get worse and worse each year. although last year rocked because of the awesome lineup.

Pros:CL killed it! Dan and donald where dope. D ramirez was great.

Con: benny didnt flow well after cl. Moby was all over the place with the genres.

i didn't even know who was playing half the time, or which stage was which. i know i saw andy caldwell close out the om stage.....

Ya. There was way too many people first of all!! The line was fucking enormous but I just did the same thing I do every insomniac event. Go to the very side of the line walk right up to the front and get in.

As far as the dj sets I really wasn't that impressed. I missed Eddie, Menno, and CL which is bull shit because imo they should have been on way later. Menno from 6:30 - 7:45 WTF is that !!! Menno should have been on right before PVD and Eddie before Menno. Whatever though. I've never seen Moby before and I really thought he did a good job. I really though Benny could have done better too. The guy had the shittiest mixes I've heard in a while.

The vibe was pretty cool on the main stage for a lil but then it got kinda stupid towards the end of the night. I then made the decision to try and go find friends and family and that was a disaster. We couldn't find shit there !!!! And we weren't even on drugs!!! I probably spent 3 hours walking around like a chicken with my head cut off and about 2 hours partying. LLLAAAMMMEEE !!!!

I say this every time but I think this will be the last Insomniac event that I attend. Well if Cosmic Gate is going to be at Noc then that will be the last. LOL.

Normally i would say youre a bitch but this time around the insomniac crew was just plain retarded. Too many people do what you do and just cause more of a wait in line because people shove all day for no reason. Its getting worse and worse every year for these insomniac events.

YOU HAVE A BANDANA GO IN THE BACK OF THE LINE. What the fuck. They looked everywhere for most people for the first 2 hours or so then realized there was a shitload of people so they let everyone in fast. My friend said by hte time he got there they opened up a gate and didnt check for anything. They just took his ticket and he was in.

there's this one distinct riff/track that PVD played all throughout his set, anyone know?
