Infected Mushroom [New release due Sept.]
Well Infected Mushroom is wrapping up their seventh album release, which is due in September. What got me really interested is that they're working with Paul Oakenfold to create a unique psychedelic / trance / rock n' roll sound.
I have high hopes for this - Oakie was a Goa DJ back in the day and he was pretty damn good at it! Plus his production talent has always been pretty top-notch, it's his live mixing that has made haters. Well, that's what I think anyways...
Got the info here: http://www.infected.co.il/futureCitySkin/forum.php?f=1
Thoughts, comments? Granted, Infected Mushroom isn't so much about any trance anymore as they are about electro-rock, but I think they have a pretty cool sound. Counting down the days until I see them in LA in September!
God i'm really scared that this will be like Bunkka.

Dear God.
I really like Infected Mushroom- Ill admit, a big reason why is because of how different the releases are...but I really like some of the tracks on Vicious delicious. Im curious to see what they have for us in September....
ok...slam away
The Costa Ricans are in love with Infected and their integrated rock sound. I have very low hopes that this will be anything good at all.
christ...wait till it comes out, listen to it and then judge it.

No I never said that, just anything infected mushroom has made since B.P. Empire has been crap(well maybe not crap... but slightly above average which is sad compared to earlier stuff), and since they are pretty much the only ones that make albums in that very particular style its very sad to see them becoming dumbed down. How would you like it if your favourite artist made run of the mill electro house or something? Fair enough that rock psy is probably pioneering... but it doesn't stop it from being dumbed down, may as well make psy synth pop or something. Just because I don't like psy and sell outs doesn't mean I don't like anything new. I mean for instance I'm sad there'll never be another beyond the infinite but at least Juno Reactors new direction is semi decent.
I have liked infected since they appeared on scene. any real fan who knows them well enough knows they have been progressively headed in tis direction for a long time. get over it and enjoy the good music
I can see this being really good (because of the help from oakenfold), or really bad (because of the help from oakenfold).

saw them live about 3 weeks ago and to be honest I was disappointed? i kinda like some of there older stuff, but the new stuff is more hard rock than psy. I left early
its too bad that Erez Netz didn't play with them the last 2 times i saw the. he is a gr8 guitarist. Tommy just pretends on all but maybe 3 songs.
I hate Infected Mushroom and i hate the fact that they made Psy popular in Israel together with Skazi.
Made me hate the whole sub-Genre.

Never really liked anything released from this guys so I don't have any high hopes. And rock and psy does not fuse well imo.

He said HE didn't like them. That doesn't mean you're not allowed to like them. I must say that I think IM have some great ideas, but they always seem to fuck it up with some stupid gimmicks.
This is what I, and alot of other people think when you say IM. There's only one thing to do in my opinion. Laugh.
