-- What kind of system do you have in your car?

Posted by RichieRich on Mar-23-2001 07:25:

My last thread inspired me to make this thread.

I have....

Aiwa CDC-MP3 detachable face reciever...(I love it!) 100 + songs on a single cd. Who needs a cd changer? Plus it plays RW's too. Download, Copy, Burn. 20 mins then into the car!

4 6 1/2 Rockford Fosgate Punch Speakers 2 in front 2 in back

2 Amps, 1000 watts powering the 4 Rockford Fosgates

and a 600 watt amp powering 2 10" subs in the trunk.

Amps and subs made by Visonik.

Got it installed last week. My TA Mp3's are sounding great!

Thanks Swamper!

I have an '85 MR-2 for driving in the winter (yes, I know, I'm probably the only person on the planet to have a 2 seater sports car for winter driving) and an '89 RX-7 turbo for those few nice days in Michigan. Nothing much to discuss for stereos in either one, in fact, let's just pretend the MR-2 doesn't have a stereo.

Pioneer 7200 series fold down, detachable face deck
6 1/2 JBL's up front
5 x 9 JBL's in rear
2-12in fultron competition subs
200 watt amp for subs (its plenty, trust me)

its a couple years old now, but still sounds great!

Oh yeah, its all packed in a '95 Ford Bronco...damn big ass sub box takes up the whole rear

Talking alas

I am... carless.atm.......BUT!

In a week I get my car. Its a Civic SI, with VTEC engine, and it has blue to white gradient paint job, then blue flames on the side.

The system is 2 SONY 12in. subs, and 2 Sony Amps that together... I dont really have any space for anything else

Posted by biznology on Mar-24-2001 02:13:

i have a distinct lack of car-age. it sux, but at least im not tempted to put loud systems in it. i used to 'pimp' a civic si that wasnt mine with and alpine deck, infinity references, 350w us acoustics powering an infinity perfect 10. sure it was ghetto, but i was pretty kewl. peas.

note on the civic si, not a new one, one of the older, ghettoer ones, i still liked it tho, but i probably looked like an ass

Read This! medeocre

Mine is somewhere in between. I have a Sony tape deck with a 10 disc CD changer (from 1996 ) , oversized 6 1/2 Alpines in the back, shitty downtown 6 1/2s up front, a pair of Rockford Fosgate tweeters in the A-pillars, junky ass Power Acoustic equalizer, 2 "10 Polks somethings in a bandpass box. I would like to have gotten 12s but they dont fit in a bandpass in a hatchback. And a MTX crossover that is a piece of shit that stopped working after 5 months. All in a 1997 Pontiac Firebird Formula. I put more into speed mods than my system. Of course, that's how it should be anyways.

Well, I have an older Rockford Fosgate deck in may car.

I also have(out of my car because I have been too lazy to install it) a rockford 4X60 watt amp, a Rockford Punch 2X60 and a Rockford Punch 2X100 amp. To go with them I have a pair of MB Quartz 5 1/2's and a pair of Boston 5 1/2's and a Celstion 12" sub. The system was sweet in my last car before I took it out. Now my lease will be up in a year and there's no point going through the trouble of installing. Maybe the next car.

Talking

I haven't done anything to my car yet... I still have the factory system on my 1999 Honda Prelude.... The sound is actually half-decent but the cd player/face is a piece of shit...

Something to fix up in the summer so I can blast the beats... heh

Posted by JM on Mar-26-2001 07:11:

Invisible Grin my rattlin' system

my Golf still got factory speakers but i got a Pioneer detachable face receiver, which i use to play my trance tunes, which kill the speakers and make them rattle... hehe
i'm planning on replacing the speakers in the next couple of months, and sticking a few subs in the back...if i get the $...
