Review of Tiesto@whitehouse

So yesterday morning I get 2 comps to go to see tiesto at whitehouse and actually got excited because last year at hammerstein was a good time. So I come all the way out to the hamptons with some friends and shit an we make our way to tiesto. Tiesto fuckin SUCKED. Like I really dont understand how somone could play pure shit for 4 hours and get paid as much as he does. The only highlight of the night was when he played Marcellos track. He didnt even play the full time and if I payed for these tickets, and I was one of those roid head guidos i would honestly like work myself up to get in full power roid rage mode and attack tiesto because he just robbed basically that whole crowd of their money. On the other hand, to be fair for tiesto, I could see why he played pure shit because hes been playing the same exact tracks for the past 8 years so maybe he wanted to experiment on a crowd who has no idea what good music is... idk it was retarded

Yup, it was pure shit... I think the little DJ booth between the main room and the bathrooms by the bar had by far better music than Tiesto. Sad. I feel like I got robbed...

On a different note, White House is pretty nice..

His Webster Hall shows were amazing. Maybe he adjusted for the Hamptons crowd. Tiesto has 3 styles that he plays. He goes progressive/house, then goes on a riff where he plays a bunch of his own productions or whatever his new CD promotes, then he destroys the floor with hard euphoric trance anthems & classics.

Sounds like he got stuck in the house/own production style for the White House show. Glad I didn't go

i blame the venue man..... he sucked there last year as well which is why i didn't end up going this year. his friday show at webster hall was ALMOST as good as the friday night of hammerstein ballrom....well, minus the fireworks and other stuff.....

agreed. well, i thought he was pretty good last year - but it's all the venue. shoulder to shoulder with meatheads and guidos, overpriced drinks, etc... personally i'd love to see tiesto do summerstage this year but idk what the lineup is yet. im guessing pvd again?

wow dissapointing to hear that Tiesto didn't play a good set. so

far imo the best time at the Tiesto was at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Even though the thursday night in Websters Hall was popping

I was really disappointed how he was only on for 3 and a half hours or so... I didn't mind the prog house he played towards the beginning, actually that's the Tiesto stuff I prefer... was just surprised to see him off so early. Didn't like the Whitehouse either, it smelled kind of musty and the ventilation sucked. Only good thing about it is I live closer to the Hamptons than NYC so the drive wasn't that bad.
