EDM for home listening?
How many of you listen to dance music only or mostly in clubs?
I know that a lot of people got into EDM through downloading mp3s on file-sharers and listening on their computers, so I'm curious about the proportions between people who listen to dance music everywhere and people who mostly just listen at clubs.
I only listen to EDM when I go to sporting events.

Fuck yeah I listen to it at home.
Nowadays, i really like to listen to EDM when i go out, e.g. from time to time i like to to go out and dance to a house or techno set (although, not nearly as much as i used to a few years ago. In a few months i'm going to be 27 soon, i'm a bit old, lol).
But, i don't listen to a lot of EDM at home anymore, especially modern EDM regardless of genre. Thats it, i think i have grown out of it,modern EDM does nothing to me, be it house, techno, progressive, dubstep, trance etc. There was a time that i could listen to a lot of trance and progressive and techno at home and stuff but it seems that this era has finally come to an end. I'm still a huge fan of electronic music and electronic sounds and synths, and from time to time i listen to some Orbital, Aphex Twin, Leftfield and older progressive and trance, but nowdays its mostly ambient and electronica in the broader sense. Maybe because i vew the majority of current EDM as lacking quality melody (maybe except for some progressive stuff like Mango or something but still overplayed and a tad boring) and hence i'm stuck with "Halcyon+on+on" heh.
So, yeah, EDM mostly-out but not in. "House" outside my house!
I listen to it at home at least 95% of the time. The only time I listen to it at clubs is on Saturday nights, and that's not even every Saturday night, nor the type I listen to at home and want to hear outside. Bad scene, nothing I can do about it.
I must admit I find some of your threads very interesting and some of them develope in quite instructive discussion, but this is one of those unnecessary ones. I really don't think you'll find a lot (if any) of people on EDM discussion forum (in a subforum called music discussion) that only listen to EDM in clubs
I listen to it everywhere.

i have no problems with other beats like prodigy, moby and chemical brothers etc, infact i like it more its just so long between the realy great ones. but yes without electronical music i would probably fade into dust pretty fast. or maybe the opposite? like a month with hell of rehab then suddenly im a new person, free of this dope music?

id like to quit this dj oriented type of edm tho and try to find something not dj friendly, like abit more advanced music for chilling home.

would be nice to have more test persons yes and that everyone wrote how they felt after day 1, day 2 etc. im not doing this during vacation tho! maybe to fall.
Is there anywhere I can get prescribed supersaw and 4/4 doses? I am in dire need of audible pleasure.
I found the thread:

Provoked a pretty big discussion.

| The last time I attempted this, I lasted three days and a half and then cracked. I didn't realize just how badly I was hooked to the stuff until I tried to get off it. |
