Psilocybin
Finally. A step in the right direction? What do you think?
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
god bless psilocybin. Mushrooms are awesome. If I were on my death bed too, I'd definitely find someone to bring me a shit load to gobble up.
Spiritual significance? I just do them (or used to) to get fucked up

I really don't want to preach here, but I think doing them just to get fucked up is stupid. Or well, no. It's fun to get fucked up, but they're so much more than that in my opinion. Psychedelics can do alot of things to you, and most people who do try them the first time, don't know what they are, and what they do to you. I've never been to a party on psychedelics, but I know I wouldn't want to try either. I prefer taking them where I'm comfortable, and when I want to. If you're not prepared for it, then can bite more than you think. I don't recommend taking them to get fucked up.

we dede osborn smacked out
Really they should have filmed them all, it would have made a great watch
Alright. I've never really been overwhelmed by the hallucinations, but more of the feelings of empathy and understanding.
Here's a little something to help set the mood:
Enjoy
Its just hilarious that Americans needs fucking study to explain to them what every open minded individual who has tried mushrooms already fucking knows.
Yeah, this recent story has me wanting to do some.
Of all the things I did "back in the day" shrooms are the only thing that to this day scare the shit out of me. I guess one bad experience ruins it forever.

I found LSD much more pleasant than mushrooms, personally.
I really wish I trusted myself to try mushrooms and other psychedelics, but being a pretty high-strung person with some anxiety problems I don't think it'd be the best idea. Who knows though, friends have been trying to get me to do them for ages, maybe I'll crack.

Oh, I already know I don't want to / shouldn't, hence why I haven't. I've read up on it a good bit.
I merely meant it might be something I'd like to do eventually. The idea is very appealing to me, I just don't think I'd react very well.

| Originally posted by Skov Yeah. It's what you make of it though. Alot of people don't know what they're doing, and they can get burnt oh so hard on this stuff. It's not physically dangerous, but it can be dangerous if you're not mentally prepared, and don't know what to make of it all afterwards. Though I've never seen any of my pretty normal, mentally stable friends get hurt, or psyched up about getting a bad experience. It's part of the charm of the mushroom, imo, IF you know how to handle it . |

I had about 2 or 3 really bad experiences with mushrooms... Thats it though, i knew it was a bad experience and it wouldnt always happen. So i tried it again and shazzam!
Usually happened because i was too drunk or took too many.

I've seen a couple of people have bad experiences on separate occasions, but they were both doing it for the first time and both had some deep seeded shit going on personally. For me, the only time I started drifting down the wrong path on mushrooms, I got lost in a bathroom and just sat there alone for like an hour wondering if I was going insane. Luckily I snapped out of it and rejoined the party. You just gotta welcome whatever comes during the trip.
Most of the times I've done it I was with good friends I knew well and either out at the beach at night or in a cozy environment. Except at the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam... I was so fucked up I thought I could swim inside the paintings. Fuck! I want some now!!!!

| Originally posted by Skov I've been in the hell aswell, once. I know how you feel, and yes it can be near impossible to control. The scariest part for me is all the subconscious things being brought to memory. But once you've tried hell once, and afterwards realised that it wasn't that bad, you get less anxious, and are able to let it flow through you. That's what I've experienced atleast. |
If you did'nt already know, you can read other people's experiences here: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/s...Mushrooms.shtml
I quite like this one: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=13283
In truth, people are more frightened of themself, and being alone with themself, than anything else.
