Living in Gent - Advice

Hello I currently reside in Canada. I am looking at a job opportunity and might take it.

The job is in Gent.

Just wanted to get some feedback on how the city is. Some positive and negatives. Is it expensive to live there. Any info would be great!

Also, I only speak English (well and Croatian). Is it hard to get around without knowing Dutch or French?

Gent is a very nice city but expensive to live in.
