Thank You For The Italo_____?

I just realized that the Italians are responsible for so much influence to my musical tastes it's not even true!

So i kind of wanted to makes this an Italo appreciation thread.

i am so fucking unworthy in that list

but yeah, a +1 to italians in dance music

that deep house set with all the tracks from the '92 rome scene is still tops for me.

i wish i had been born 10 years earlier and had partied on the beaches of ostia when these tracks just came out

Started kinda like Pink Floyd with psy (pop)-rock in the 60's and continued with prog rock in the 70's with milestone albums such as Contrappunti and Felona e Sorona.

Some other bands:
Rocky's Filj
Museo Rosenbach
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso
Quella Vecchia Locanda

One new cool band is Magni Animi Viri. Check out their 2006 album Heroes Temporis where they mixed prog rock (metal) with opera and classical music elements.
