FFXIII - now multiplatform!
Poor PS3 fans... one of the only exclusives they had, now also on 360.
Who cares as long as you get to play it?

I wonder if LionsLair is on suicide watch right now
haha, people still live for the Final Fantasy series? I lost all faith in this RPG since FFX.
Happy days! The only reason i had left to buy a PS3 was FFXIII and now i can save myself a shit load of cash

Ha, that was awesome. And i have no dout that some people really feel like that. LionsLair is probably in a corner somewhere in a fetal position silently weeping right now
Anyway, with this recent announcement there really arent that many reason left for buying a PS3. Ok there is GT5 but who knows when that will come out. The biggest thing going for the PS3 right now is that it plays blue ray discs. And that is all.
^ sadly i think it is becoming a reality. my ps3 just sits there really , just plays Divx of it and occasionally i play metal gear online.
whats up with sony? why cant they get good games happenin, every game is a FPS , ps2 was awesome had so many good games.
Sell your PS3 while it's still worth something, and stock up on the 50+ must-play PS2 games that are now less than $10 a pop. It's all about the games and fun factor...and the PS2 has enough great games to give anyone years of enjoyment.
Enjoy the PS2 titles you missed out on for the next few years, then when the PS4 comes out you'll be able to pick up a cheap PS3 and the top 15 games on the system for around $400.
may i ask a question? having never played an FF game... do you actually get to play a role/make decisions or is it really just a dungeon hack adventure game (with a no-doubt shitty japanese storyline)?

) As for final fantasys they have always been pretty linear with some character and party customization. Not to deep to keep casual rpgers happy. As for "shitty japanese storylines" I'm not sure what you meant so I'm just gonna assume you have a wombat in your ass this morning.
Some of the earlier-to-middle FF games have some of the best stories in all of gaming... Although the actual game series is very hit or miss. Every game is so different and fans of the series are sharply divided on them. No two fans have the same top 5 favorites in that order.

Just read this, good news.
I am glad Square is moving towards releasing more games on more platforms. I still do not have a PS3 or 360...this will make the decision even harder.

Good news for 360 owners. I, for one, do believe that multiplatforming hurts the gaming industry more than it helps, but from a basic standpoint, more people will get to play this beautiful game, so that's always good.
Though keep in mind that in Japan, only the PS3 version will be available. Had this game hit the 360 there, it may have helped push the lacking sales, but I guess that's a moot point now.

I've heard it is much easier to program for the PS3 by itself rather than both - and vice versa. I've also heard if you start with the PS3 and port to the 360 you will have much easier time than the other way around. |
