Beatport Producer Spotlight: Jaytech

Here is a cool little interview with Jaytech where he discusses some aspects of his production setup and style.

Jaytech Interview Part 1

Jaytech Interview Part 2

Some may be surprised by his studio setup!

im not suprised at his setup lol as ive only a laptop and phones lol
ok ,but minus the huge hits you say

For the future of trance production ,in my view is like mobile phones

in the beggining , they were huge , cumbersome and oversized

now they fit neatly in your pocket and have 2000 times if not more power than there ancestors

its like laptops , i bought mine 3 years ago and still its a good spec
2.2ghz AMD ,120gig HD, 1meg ram(ok, not to good)and ok,i get a little freeze in sequencing , but at this time , its ok for me and my level of production

in my eyes with a hardsynth your paying more for wood and metal than sound generation
(flame on )

but overall , balls to production ,if a tune gets you going and you love it , dont worry how its made

Nice find Eric, his productions really got me back into it again a couple of years back.

Check out Matt Rowan & Chris Lake - Filth (greed is evil mix). Amazing production, even more so if that was all done on a laptop with ableton and few samples. Genesis and tomorrow sound so clean and well produced I'm having trouble believing he only occasionally used monitors!
