yes, it's a very known producer of psychedelic trance. he's released several full-length albums and has been active since the mid-90s. can't say i've heard much from him, though.

Makes wicked psytrance, about all I know.

I guess you could say he's kind of like tiesto.

No, you couldn't. He's on the "pop" side of psytrance but not by much. I'd describe his sound as full-on, high-energy, melodic, and accessible... perhaps a little cheesy at times, but hey--this is TA, I'm sure people aren't overly sensitive to a little fromage!

Talamasca released a promo version of his most recent 2CD album on the 'net for free download; hear for yourself:

Like previous posters have already stated Talamasca is a very well-known psy-trance producer. He tends to make consistently decent full-on melodic psy-trance aimed for the club scene. He is a little more fluffy in his sound compared to other full-on artists, but he doesn't go overboard with any cheesey elements, so I definitely say he's a good choice for a new psy-trance listener.

I still enjoy Talamasca, good stuff.

*edit* I take that back, Talamasca has some overtly cheesey stuff
