Im due for a new phone (hopefully HTC Diamond Touch Pro) come September but if I can't keep my Sprint SERO plan (unlimited everything for $30 a month) as Sprint is limiting that plan as of this past July 10th to real employee and employee friends now I might as well switch to AT&T and get an iPhone.

You read wrong. They aren't ditching the SERO plan. What they are doing is revising the plan for NEW contracts. They also changed the way you must signup. You have to know the employee number instead of just their email address.

Also, it is the HTC Touch Pro...No Diamond in there.

Your late man.

They are sold out EVERYWHERE u better go to the san fran store ASAP if u only want to pay 300 for it.

The longer you wait the lesser chances u have.

IMHO i would just find a 1st gen iphone, and use that. You can get them fairly cheap.

If you are not going to use the phone for the internet save your self money and get the first iphone. Thats what i am going to do once i sell all of mine.

good luck getting the most profit possible. if i wanted one i would just wait to get it at $300. you going Ebay? wonder what its selling for....people paid hundreds of dollars for an apple core eaten by tiger woods, who knows how much they will pay for the iphone!

Ya but I wouldnt be surprised if they try to get me out of SERO when I renew and if SERO is even available for the Touch Pro when and if it comes out... Also threw in Diamond there cause the original HTC Touch is garbage

uhhh you do know you can walk into any AT&T store and order it even if they don't have any in stock, right? I did this myself yesterday, it'll be here in a few days.

Do you have to pay any deposit for that? I'm thinking of doing the same thing too...

Posted by RobertStern on Jul-17-2008 18:51:

And you know Apple stores will be getting more in daily, just keep checking the inventory checker online at Apple.com

No deposit, you pay for the phone itself (~ $215 after tax). It should be at the store waiting for you within a week.

You only paid $215? I was at the apple store and I paid $236 after taxes?

Why the difference... Apple was saying the tax is based on $399, which added up.

Different cities have different tax rates too.

Most of California is 7.75% though.

Strange... they only charged me tax for the $199 purchase. I don't know which one is right or not.

Posted by |Thrax| on Jul-17-2008 21:18:

you know they're only $199 right?

6 units you're going to have a hard time selling, fail.

$300+ hah, yea right.

right, ben.

I'm curious how you got out of the store without the required activation of the phones... you must have some friends that work at at&t

"It's a present for a few friends" they really aren't going to force you to activate them at the apple store or the at&t stores. You just have to bullshit enough to get out of it.

Anyway to unlock the new iphone yet? You can make some money by doing that, but not much.
