random question

Your a dj who uses their laptop, therefore you use an external soundcard . So when connecting to the mixer, do you connect the channels to the soundcard from the 'line' inputs?

lol yeh it was a bit confusing, ok.

I dj using a laptop, soundcard and midi controller. if i wanted to play in a club and used the mentioned setup. how would i connect it up in the club? all i need to do i think is connect the outputs of my soundcard to the amp? but to do that would i not need to disconnect the main mixer first ? which would mean stoppin the music, which ofcourse is not really an option.

wtf? just connect the soundcard line out to mixer line in. ya you will have to take out some cables

but youre not giving us enough info, which soundcard do you possess

i use a native instruments audio kontrol 1.

could i just connect it to channel x's line input, then when it comes to my set i just switch from phono/cd to line ?

cds are on line, you can do it with turntables on phono and your soundcard on line

I think in most clubs what you would do would be to plug in your master out into an unused channel on their mixer.
