yoji review
Holy shit...
That's all I have to say about that...
Totally insane night......wow wow wow wow.
The first two hours were complete insanity....he finally started to slow it down for the third hour. By the end I could just stand up at the bar and take in how amazing Yoji was. Overall I don't know if it was better then last time but it had its epic moments.
Sasha - great seeing you after soooo long...you looked as drained as I did...f'n intense.
Nada - great seeing you too...still have the amazing dance skills going.
Shaya - I think that is the first time I've seen you since your camera was stolen...you look so naked without it
. Oh...I think Yoji broke up my gallstones with those booming tracks...maybe I won't have to get my gall bladder removed after all
Yoji was good, but not as good as last time. I spent most of my night @ the drink. It was a really good night overall though. Just what I needed.
Nada, good to meet you.

my life is complete!
he was even better than last time! WOW is all i have to say. I died 6 times last night

Review!!
What a great night. I'll post a more detailed review on Scenester, but I couldn't wait to get back and punch into this keyboard: what a fan-freaking-tastic time I had last night. Anyone who loves the hard dance / tech dance scene must have had audio-gasms all night.
The set he played was very similar to the June 2008 set posted for hype, so those who listened to that set religiously would have felt right at home.
Holy hard-hammering beats batman--exactly what I needed.
We showed up at 12:30 to interview Yoji. Miss Raquel from Scenester Magazine / BPM:TV had about 20 minutes with Yoji thanks to the CraveTV crew! Awesome bunch of people to work with. Yoji was a very cool down to earth person to work with--and truly has a love for the hard dance / tech dance scene. It was great to hear him talk about the struggles of licensing the music from the original TETRIS video game to use in his track.
The full interview will be out shortly, but here's some pictures from back stage (I saw Chinamon up around the DJ booth, so there should be some sic shots of Yoji in his pix).

Got there at 12:30. MO played an excellent opener until about 2:40 when Yoji came on.
Yoji started off hard and kept pushing. I remember Tetris, Pjanoo, Sandstorm, You Spin Me Round, and the last track was his new one Airport, IIRC.
Good vibe at Guv. It was pretty rammed until 3 or 3:30, but people weren't very pushy.
Naturally it was raining in Guv. I was soaked from when I arrived until just before leaving when Yoji finished up at perhaps 5:45.
There was a girl that Yoji instructed one of the bouncers to lift on to stage. You could tell she wasn't part of the party up there. Yoji got the MC to ask her a question, to which she and the MC responded with thumbs up and big smiles. I can't help but consider that Yoji selected his bedmate for the evening?
I found my eyes were taking a beating from the lasers. Perhaps the right-hand front speaker stack is a bad place to be. Annoying anyway.
I was certainly getting a bit out of my head by about 5 but didn't want to leave for fear of missing a good track. It's nice to leave really wanting more.
Towards the end Yoji left a single tone running in the deep base range. I thought I was going to soil myself as it must have gone for 5 full seconds. Always love Phazon.
Anyway, it was a spur of the moment decession to go (made at about 11:30) and I was there by myself. Had a blast and would def try to see Yoji again. I've heard that not very many sets make it out of Guv, but I'd love to get that one if possible.
Saw a couple of TAs at the front. Nice to meet you guys (probably "again") and nice to see you again Sasha.
sounds like another great yoji experience. i made it to the last one, but not last night glad to hear it was superb though
Best night at guv so far this year!
TUNE OF THE NIGHT FOR ME
Mauro Picotto- Komodo (dont know what remix)
but I have only heard this song live in a club 3 times now and everytime I have gone nuts!!!!!!!

Sorin nice to meet you too
thnx for sharing your umbrella
Yoji's set last time was longer I think and it was in the KH so there was tons of room to dance, then that summer I saw him at DanceValley in Amsterdam which was pretty good as well,
third time seeing him and he never fails
I had a blast

Shaya thanks for the guest list!
Yoji thanks for the amaaaazing night!
Was sort of hoping he would bust out the Tom Jones in the beginning and he didn't do it but he did it at the end - it is apparently Yoji's way of 'speaking' lol
Met a TA named Christian/Acura77 with his girlfriend Laura who said he hasn't been on TA in a long time but just heard about this party last minute from his girl and had to come out for it - nice meeting you guys Yoji sure delivered. (Not 100% sure on the TA nickname he gave me cuz it was amazingly loud right in between the front speakers directly to the front of the DJ booth.
Yoji delivered and then some, hopefully they don't wait another two years to bring him back!!!!
The Guv needs to do something about the drainage system on their patio haha, it was a freaking flood on there in one corner and those roofs over the seats are next to useless as they leaked steady streams of water but it was nice to get out there for a breath of fresh air and some rain not caused from condensation in the rafters (waaay dirtier than acid rain haha)
Guys the entire block was having flooding issues...
It rained from 1 am till I went to bed at 9...
This night was proper main room 100%.....
Techno techno techno!!!

Enjoy!
yoji 1/10
Wow just woke up and my whole body is sore from going bonkers all night. Hard Trance is what got me into the whole EDM scene and it was really nostalgic night for me. Yoji is quite the showman behind those decks. Unfortunately I had to leave about 2 hours into his set, I can't believe I missed Sandstorm
YOJI proper 10 out of 10!!
he played a good set but he took WAY TOO LONG to get on and I was tired by the time he was, I left at about 430, does anyone know if he played Never End??? Some tracks I remember he played were Samurai, Fred Baker - Atlantis City, Kabousu Tree, Dirty Rocker

i can't even believe i was contemplating in not going last night because of some rain. i'm so glad i made the right choice.
got into the guv aroudn 1.20 and MO was still on. 2am came around and he was still on. i started to think that this was going to be one of my worst nights at guv.
thankfully, yoji came on aroudn 2.45 and started pumping out those tunes. listening to that Hard Force set that tyler put up really gave me an advantage in knowing what the tune were that he was spinning. since that set is only 80min long, it's more condensed with amazing tracks right after the other. last night it was pretty much the same with some other tracks thrown in which extended the set and gave perfect transitions between the better tracks. either way, i couldn't stop dancing because it was amazing.
highlight of the night music wise was Yoji - Don't Wake Me From The Dream. such an amazing hand-in-the-air track. beautiful.
some other ones include...
Antonio & Vavildi - Konzert (probably the first and last time i'll ever hear classical music played in the guv)
Darude - Sandstorm (i finally heard one of the most epic tracks ever in a club setting)
Fabio Stein - Techtris (nothing like a little bit of russian music
)
Three Drives on a Vinyl - Greece 2000 (loved this hard remix)
Yoji Biomehanika - Never End (hands in the air ftmfw)
and in the end he put on Tom Jones - It's Not Unusual. just awesome!
i'm so glad i made the right decision in going out last night and hearing this amazing set spun by a very talented and enthusiastic dj. whenever he comes back, i'm definitely coming back for some more.

my pics enjoy
