Umm, you are forgetting the biggest change:

The new soundcard!

The 3D's sound card stinks... USB 1.0, only 3 stereo outputs. You can't use all 4 channels of the mixer section with it. The 4D at least fixes that.

It's still a niche mixer though...

I'll be purchasing this after i have upgraded some of my studio equipment.

Twice the midi controls, a better soundcard and an extra stereo output sold it for me. I was touch and go as to whether to get the xone 3D, but this version has me sold.

For now I'll stay with the 800...Have some studio equipment which is first priority. Then again I'll probably not buy it even when i do have the money
