Thumbs up

A lot of people really hate this set, but I find it really alluring, dark and twisted. Sounds really druggy. A little bit unlike Digweed and a little more downtempo, but that's what I find really interesting about the set. There's a lot of discreet sounds in this one, so I think it will grow on people after a few listens. Thumbs up mix from me. One of favorites of the year so far.

Track 04 with the sad violon synths needs a major ID

It seems to be the Dubfire Remix on Jamaica.

yeah, you're right. I thought it was just some slight efx's he was doing, but I guess it's a remix...though didn't know Dubfire remixed it..interesting!

I like this set. And I prefer this new style than the one that he had last year!
The return of good music?

I've been listening to this set all day today, playing in the background while I did work. Really hypnotic mix. This is the new Dark Digweed I like. Can't wait for his EM next week.

Sound quality on this is absolute pants. Anyways, some good tracks here and there, last tune is terrible though. Overall nothing to write home about, pretty much standard with what he's been playing lately. It's not bad, theres just nothing that really grabs me. Under The Sun and the Kollektiv Turmstrasse are the highlights, but the mix stays on such an even keel. And I'm not sure what Dubfire did with Jamaica but you could hardly call that a remix...

I really miss the Digweed from Fabric 20 and Hong Kong days who would surprise me.

Saw him in April with Sasha and it was just thing kind of big room proggy techno the whole time. Theres a lot more interesting music out there it seems he isn't playing.

Also, re the downtempo comment, I assume you mean that in the sense that the pace is slower? I dunno. Under The Sun is pretty peak time material...

man, i think it sounds like what he has been playing all year. im sure he picked it up a lil the last two hours of his set.its not a shitty mix like i said earlier, its just regular digweed as of late. im looking forward to his essential mix too. where is the EM being recorded?
