Mac os ain't that difficult to understand there's a few minor differences but overall it's the same old thing.

iTunes is a piece of shit. Not only is it a memory hog, but it doesn't even allow for you to customize without adding all kinds of fucking addons.

Posted by bas on Jul-24-2008 16:35:

I never understood the hate towards iTunes. Blows my mind.

Unless you buy music from iTunes, in which case you have no choice but to play it in iTunes.

Posted by elFreak on Jul-24-2008 16:48:

this is why you don't buy it there.

This is false. You can convert it to mp3 from within iTunes which then strips it of the protection.

I have an Ipod but as a general rule I hate Apple too. Their computers, while slick, are expensive and not customizable or tunable. I hate how they package iTunes with QuickTime and then tried that same with Safari. For the most part, I'm unimpressed.

Did they remove it?! You used to be able to. Then again I haven't used iShit since 4.6 and that was only cause I wanted to listen to a podcast. Dumped it though shortly after as I hated the way it would subscribe to podcasts.

Posted by bas on Jul-24-2008 17:50:

If you try to convert something you've purchased via iTunes to MP3 or WAV it gives you a DRM prompt.

Posted by elFreak on Jul-24-2008 17:52:

yes...because it is shit.

You used to be able to in their virginal version when I used it. Don't think you can now though, due to more sophisticated protection.
