Pretty flier! I think I'll be at this one. Not just because of the flier.
edit: Wait, only if I get my raise. If not, I cant afford a 22 dollar ticket.

Minimum wage was raised to 6.55. Does that help?

Not really. Its not like I think thats too much to pay for a "concert"... I just dont have the money right now to be paying for any kind of entertainment on the weekends.

Poem is still my favorite Delerium album... but I have to admit I havent listened to it in a long long time. Maybe I need to break it out this week.

I-16 is the longest road to nowhere (well, heading east to Savannah it is). I may have to traverse that god awful stretch to check this show out. I haven't seen them live since Minneapolis in 2004.

OK, to be fair... i haven't seen ANYBODY live since 2004...

I am highly interested in this, but maybe someone could fill me in on what to expect. I know they are a band, but when they play live are they the type to kind of make music as they go, or is it more of an actual concert?

kinda hard to find ytbz focusing on the actual band, but it looks like there's some actual bandish elements going on.

Looks all out in most of the videos I could find

1. Don't expect Sara McLachlan to make a surprise appearance to perform Silence. LOL

2. It's more of a concert, with a set list of tracks they've done. They're not a jam band, improving on stage.

3. It's a killer show.

Thanks for the info. I think I will try my best to make it. Are you sure Sarah McLachlan won't be making a surprise appearance?

And Ted, you may not hear me say this too often to you, but thank you for your input too. I don't think I've ever seen a band like that in concert. What exactly do you do at one of their shows? I'm assuming you don't head bang, but do people actually dance? Well, either way, I will check it out.

Not all of their stuff is dance material, some of it being rather chill/ambient groove type stuff. I stood around and watched mostly, trying to see what gear they were using and how they were performing. Took a shit ton of pics too, which I should try to dig up.

Jeez... it was September of 2003 for the Chimera tour. I remember it was COLD out that Sunday night (which is why I thought it was early 2004). 4 hours up from Madison, WI to Minneapolis, 3 hours at the show, then 4 hours driving back in the same night!

Pics here: CLICKY CLICKY

Yeah, that's what I kind of thought. I have no problem with standing and watching. I've never been one to go totally crazy at a concert anyways. I think I'll enjoy this show.
