progressive trance recommendations

Hi there,

First, I apologize for such a noob question.

In an attempt to take my mind of work, I've started to mix. For the past 8 years or so, I've gone from going out several times a week listening to DJs to buying maybe 5 albums a year. So I've totally lost touch with anything going on.

Browsing through Beatport, I've noticed that the Progressive Trance section keeps my interest the longest. I've toyed with other genres like Dub Techno and Tech House and all are nice, but I seem to really stick on the progressive trance side.

While Beatport has a nice selection and great way to listen to music, I find it tedious to browse through any sub genre.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good tracks, artists, or labels to look at as a nice starting point? Or if there are any other websites with music to browse, too.

I consider Zachary Taylor, Darin Epsilon, and Alex M to put out some of the best prog I've ever heard. You also can't forget about Marcus Schulz on his album Miami 2005. Also, Armin van Buuren on his (ASOT) A State of Trance 2004. ASOT might give you the idea of, oh that shit's not prog, but trust me, ASOT 2004, AVB went all out on the prog on CD 2. Paul Oakenfold on his album Travelling gets REAL deep.
