2008 Beijing Olympics!

So is anyone else excited for the olympics??

I can't wait! I always love competitions that involve countries from all over the work and can't wait for this one!

It's going to be great too since you'll be able to watch it live on the Internet, and pretty stream and watch every single event.

CBC has announced that they'll have 1,500 hours of coverage! I know what i'll be doing at work for the next couple of weeks!

8 Days to go!!

I have about a 15% excitement level.

I'll definitely watch some of it when I don't have much else to do but won't keep up to date on coverage.

This is the greatest time for sports.....the once every 4 years that anyone actually watches 99% of these sports.

the Olympics are always fun and I will watch many of the events.

but from a political and environmental standpoint, it's interseting to see the global spotlight shining brightly on what a disaster China has on their hands.

I think the policital/environmental/social aspect of the Olympics this should be very interesting to watch how it plays out during the games...

Will be very interesting indeed!

This excites me more. My main complaint is TV coverage of the olympics is so partisan that I'm forced to watch some Canadian finish in last place in some boring ass events when I'd prefer to be watching russia vs Brazil in Womens Vollyball.

Is this year's Olympics the same one where Toronto was almost the host city?

You'd probably want to leave the city during this time lol

I wonder what kind of parties they'd have for the Olympics @ Guv or who'd they bring to Spin.

I still remember that Tiesto performed during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in 2004 in Greece. That would've been pretty sweet.

Apparently Celine Dion is performing this year (WTF lol I guess they like her over there)

PS. I can't wait for Doubles Table Tennis!!

China Vs. China in Doubles Table Tennis..

The good thing is that I believe we are exactly 12 hours behind Beijing, so it won't be difficult figuring what time things are actually on!
