does ambient have to make sense?

just wondering if ambient has to follow the verse /chorus standard like in chillout.

I recently heard some ambient was really impressed ,so i went and i made this ruff tune on the fly , (but it does not have the standard intro, verse ,chorus, middle eigth sections) etc

just curious to know if ambient has strict rules .I am a believer of doing something unexpected and having my own sound ,so there is that possibility i may think i have ambient but when its complete may be a different genre all together.

No.

Ambient may have the fewest "rules" of any genre. It can have any structure you want, and you're free to do pretty much anything without worrying about club-friendliness or anything like that.

You can listen to some ambient stuff I made for some ideas:

You should post it. I always like to see other ambient producers around here.

I find that a lot of ambient tracks can also comfortable with a standard classical arrangement: Establishment of a theme, variation on the theme, recapitulation of the theme. Ambient in particular lends itself well to this type of arrangement, and it helps to keep it interesting.

I have a snippet of my ambient Mix of "Rubi-Ka", on www.sinnicahax.se , should satisfy your ambient needs

+1

I love creating random messiness and turning them into ambient works, albeit not very good ones (yet ), but fun none the less.

Randomness with Absynth is key!

theres no ruls to music matey i think the hole point behind ambient is to put you in a more suttel trance like state.
