recently saw the new ad for the new Audi A4s. (I like them)

I'm surprised the A4s have such good gas mileage. Better than its competitors: BMW 3series, Acura TL, Mercedez C-class, Infiniti G35.

Wonder why A4 generally depreciate much faster though too?

Did you get a new A4 or a pre-owned?

Good gas mileage is probably due to the 4 cylinder turbo and design. A4's do maintain their value and I got a certified pre-owned.

Audi changed the 2009 A4 body style to match the 2008 A5's. BEAUTIFUL!

Would you consider buying a non-certified pre-owned?

I was looking around and saw a
2005 Audi A4 2.0T Manual w/ ~38K miles
for only 21k.

An ex-coworker of mine had a new S4. That was a nice ride, too bad he never let me drive it.

Kelly Blue Book for a 2005 Audi A4 w/ 38k miles

Yes, I would buy a non-certified. Kelly Blue Book's prices this A4 at $21,360. I would $16,360 for it.

When I purchased my A4, I took the Kelly Blue Book suggested price, knocked off $5,000 and went on the 30th of the month. I walked out of the dealership with the exact price I wanted to pay. There will be hidden fees so ask for an itemized list of all charges and fees.

Thanks for the tip. Do you think this works w/ new cars?

I want to upgrade from my 2000 Accord 5-spd coupe because it has shit loads of miles on it. Also I moved to the burbs so I need a car w/ good gas mileage.

so my options are:
A. Buy a pre-owned A4, G35 coupe
B. Buy a new Honda Fit (manual) [ETA mpg 34 but I'm sure I can do better] Hyper miling...FTW
C. Drive my accord till it dies. [I'm sure it will get past 200k and maybe 250k

However if i find a pre-owned 530i Manual with low mileage and either black, white or silver I'd be a happy camper.

The only answer is if you want to get the car you really want go with A. If you want to get the best gas mileage go with B, and if you want to save the most money go with C.

It works on new cars but you can only knock off about $2000-$3000. I wouldn't buy a new car due to the immediate depreciation. I recommend option A. Due to the economy, it's a great time to buy a pre-owned car.

thanks for the advice and enjoy your new car.
