M83 @ The Earl, November 11
Just found this show today. My God, I have been waiting forever to see them.
Sick! Too bad The Earl is always 21+
Yeah, and there are way better venues for this type of show imo. Still not gonna miss this one.
OMG! I am there. Where do I get tickets?

$15 @ The Earl.
I'll be there!
Sweet, and School of Seven Bells is opening.
NICE! Hopefully I have that day and the day after free entirely
I wanna see M83 so bad.
Bump! Just as a reminder to everyone interested that this show is coming, and I will be there. Who else is coming?
Me, definitely.

Tickets might be sold out but I haven't known a single club that won't sell tickets at the door. If you want it, contact the Earl and see what they can do.
Did anyone go to this? How was it?
The front part of the Earl, where the main bar and tables are, felt very chill and relaxed. Typical East Atlanta vibe with beer lovers and the mid 20s to early 30s crowd. Their burger is probably one of the best I've had in while from a bar. I sat next to M83 while we (M83 crew and my crew) had dinner.
In the back of the place, the performance area was small (100ftx100ft), intimate atmosphere with good acoustics, better than old Eleven50. The first band that played had very broody music and a decent beat. Their stage presence was like any shoegazer band - absolutely no presence at all.
M83 brought in a drummer, female backup singer and keyboard, bassist, and rhythm guitar and head M83 dude, Anthony Gonzalez. Tracklist included Run Into Flowers, Kim & Jeese, We Own the Sky, Don't Save Us from the Flames, and more from their latest album The Sunday Youths. I wished they selected a greater variety of tracks because what came out was rather epic. A little too epic for me. After awhile the constant buildups and breakdowns bored me a little. Just a little.
Wished I could have gone. Too bad tickets were sold out when I tried. I love both School of Seven Bells and M83 so I'm pretty :/'d
In any case, the name of the new M83 album is Saturdays = Youth, not The Sunday Youths
