Hodge said the shooting occurred after some patrons were allegedly double-charged by security guards to enter the VIP section of the club. Hodge said some patrons became rowdy after allegedly being double-charged and were escorted outside the nightclub, where the shooting took place. Hodge said an unknown male pulled out a gun and began firing shots. Hodge said a security guard employed by the club was struck in the arm. Hodge said none of the celebrity guests, which included R&B singer Usher, rapper Nelly, actress Regina King, actress Gabrielle Union and actor Larenz Tate, were injured. Many other celebrities were in attendance. Hodge told WSB-TV the security guard was transported to an area hospital. The guard, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was treated and released. Authorities said they are still interviewing witnesses to determine the gunman�s identity. "The shooting was an isolated incident," said a representative for So So Def Summerfest Weekend.

We almost went there after a keg party around the time it happened, but thankfully I was smart enough to try and contact Mike Chu before we did... I had to say a prayer of thanks once I figured out this happened the next day, because Mitsue really wanted to go!

Hey Chris, are you a part of Dreamz or VIPNightlife? I talked to one of the guys who said they're staying at TnG after this situation, so where will the afterhours go? Or did some "people who annoy you" ruin it for us?

I work with VIPNightLife. Specifically, I work for Chewy. Who did you talk to? As of late last night, things were up in the air a bit, but I will see Mike tomorrow at FAB and I'll get the scoop on what's going on. I hope this does not result in a permanent move to TnG on Friday nights becuse that would probably eliminate the afterhours house scene.

Just talked to Sam. Mike is in meetings all day. I think we're going to try to keep this venue.

I'll tell you one thing: I want hazard pay!

Still don't know how I've managed to avoid Dreams this whole time

I talked to Allen. He didn't say for definite, but he mentioned that they were likely going to do it this coming friday as well. At TnG, I mean. Which I will be at Deadmau5, so I don't care =P

But yeah, he said the new TnG is where Lotus used to be (FAIL!), so Friday nights would go from cool to SUCK pretty fast.

Dreams afterhours lives on! 10-2 might change format, but house will continue during late-night. We're back this Friday.

I don't think the people that go to Donald Glaude are the same people that go to P Diddy's party.

Yeah, it's a totally different crowd. Even VIPNightlife's "hip hop" early evenings, you usually find more classy college age and the Asian entourage that follows the twins. And random Europeans But, very few ghetto types.

The regular Friday night DJ's and promoters weren't even there.
