Derrick in a more intimate/confortable venue will do a amazing job.

We are not crazy about booking artist and dj at lamouche but we will for special week-ends and occasions.

No offence but - I never had my ears ring as bad as my last visit to Lamouche, the sound was brutal on the ear drums.

Nothing compared to the Meyer sound that Aria once had back in the day.

I've been workin there since day 1 and never had any ear problems whatsoever...

Im not trying to be negative and this is a good booking, although the last time I was at Lamouche it was a Saturday night and the sound was really ear piercing. The people I was with felt the same way. Maybe it was only that one night or something...

There is an explenation to that.

When we play dvds, the highs are very aggressives because those are songs made to be shown on TV and not in a club.

So they calibrate the sound with less bass and more mid-highs

We also have to squeeze in a couple old school / rock tracks that are very rare in good quality

And those are also made to be played on a show sound system, not a club soundsystem

As soon as you play regular house wav formats, the sound is one of the best i've heard in this city

Louis - Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense and this is exactly what I experienced. The highs were really loud at times but the house and most hip hop tracks sounded fine.

Please understand that I am not talking trash about the Lamouche. I have had good times there and do plan on going back soon.

This is the same Meyer sound system we used in the main room at Aria except for the subwoofers.

Maybe it was a bad night but I really like the sound at lamouche and this is not because it's my place, I really think the sound is perfect.
