I mean other then arnej who is a producer, Ta has never had a good dj or musician.

Time to step up your fuckin games!

is that dj still around?

Posted by LKD on Aug-05-2008 23:03:

there were quite a few djs that were pretty big here on TA but they retired now....theres still that Button guy tho...TA wont really produce anything else non generic and great cos people here dont like supporting up and coming talent so the djs are demotivated without even getting anywhere

No kidding.

A TOTA DJ could play a megamix of a woman giving birth with a 4/4 layered on top and still manage to get a roll call...

There is no shortage of support here.

Posted by elFreak on Aug-05-2008 23:32:

believe it or not i have played that track.

i bet the roll call was full but only 5% of them showed up while the rest made lame excuses on the day of..

Agreed.

The TOTA are fantastic at supporting their own, and a bunch of their own ARE doing quite well.

Since I'm likely one of the retirees you speak of Liam (former retiree now I guess, as I started playing out again a few months ago), I can definitely say there was no demotivation through lack of support. More like real life getting in the way at the time. The support was always absolutely kickass, and never a reason for retiring.

I still have one of his CD's kicking around in my car, and still listen to it !!

deep, dark, dirty, i think is what it was called.

Bonkers Mix

Max Graham is on here too, and one of the B&Js are on here too I believe

But I don't think he means DJs that joined TA after they became successful, rather TAs like us and then became successful.

Posted by Cosmic Fur on Aug-06-2008 13:39:

Yeaaaa let's all take Vivid seriously now, cause it's not like he has a history of talking out his ass to get a rise out of people! Yeaaaaaaaaa!

Posted by Orko on Aug-06-2008 14:07:

The most famous TA success story is Jon O'Bir IMO. A true bedroom DJ that started on TA, and got a residency at Godsktichen in the UK.
