David Call - Dimensia [Audio Logic Recordings] Now Available

Audio Logic Recordings is persistently cultivating fresh talent and the next release features David Call from Columbus, Ohio. David's track Dimensia (di-men-see-ah), not dimentia, is a brilliant production. Funky bass, chugging percussion, melodic stabs and scattered FX lead to a break that does a total 180 on listeners. Christopher Norman (formerly of Retrobyte fame) adds another alias to his repertoire: Mancandy! His remix goes downtempo, funky and edgy electronica. It's likely to end up in iPods and iPhones as quality listening material. Rounding out the mixes is Nick Stoynoff. Up and coming in the Chicago scene, he adds nice contrast to the package with a fantastic summer vibe and beautifully crafted remix.

Samples all sound good - Original and Nick's remix definitely sound like a combination of 2002 era prog with French house along the lines of "The Music Sounds Better With You" (for some reason it was the firs thing I thought of when I heard the samples) - the Mancandy remix is a bit of an interesting departure for Audio Logic, really curious to see how the whole thing sounds.

Glad to see you releasing such a wide variety of music yet still manage to have a pretty consistent overall vibe for the label.

Nice job, Nick.

I like the beat stuttering and bassline manipulations.

Kudos -
