Take cover Cascada, Milk inc and Basshunter will find new "inspiration" I already was wondering why they always played the same trancegate riffs.... But now worries RefX added a new trancegate, so they can release their chord seqeuences on another preset (though i would not mind being as succesful as them both )

Please note that you need a USB Syncrosoft Dongle to use this product.

Was this previously required? Real reson for the update? Even if it was I don't blame them as refx must have lost a fortune due to cracks

Posted by adi_hanson on Aug-07-2008 19:27:

yeah you need the usb

off the artist tesomonial section

I've used quite a few reFX things for my latest productions so I always check their site and saw this thing called "NEXUS". It's really amazing because it's so hands on! Most presets are usuable instantly and the editing is simple and effective. It's the most impressive synth I've installed in the last year.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

not the presets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fag about until its different man!!!!

The dongle was not req for Nexus 1.. it looks like all the smaller dev's are going down the syncrosoft route now tho.

Ive always been interested in this vsti, I think it's a great idea but just too pricey $350/180 is stupid money when you start adding in the price of expansions.

BUT on the other hand I've heard its got great sound quality

lol i agree , nexus is a very powerfull tool but like you said it has to be used right, not like bass****er and asscada who blatently use the straight preset and have refx and other producers looking like twats for using it.I will admit that certain parts of my productions are nexus , but i get it sounding different from a preset for a start!

my car has gone in for a new gearbox , so will have to wait until next month for a try me thinks

Agreed, just the fact that basshunter uses FL Studio makes me a sad panda

Heh, yeah hilarious link. People should focus more on what DAW app makes them most comfortable when doing music, instead of just looking towards random producers who are famous and try to walk in their shoes, and then we're having 1000 threads and videos all over internet of teens asking how to make a track like Basshunter does it frankly pisses me off because thanks to the likes of Basshunter its like encouraging teens that you can make a smash hit in 20 minutes using warez'ed VSTi presets. I have been recording my own music since 1988 and been through both the hardware and software studiosetups so it pisses me off! My point is that there shouldnt (and there isnt) any easy way within success in music.

The problem is that people has become dumb, we dont give a shit about quality anymore, its just shallow oonts oonts oonts, made to pleasure ones wallet and using formulas that work.

rant over - SORRY!

And tbh if the DAW and Vsti companies were bothered , something would be done , perhaps one warez'd version results in x amount of sales , you never know.

I guess the disappearance of magesy has nothing to do with pissed off daw/vst companies?

And I hate to say it, I was do displeased with Vangard that Nexus is prob the only synth I've never got a demo on or checked out.

I've heard so much ranting bout this damn thing I think this was the thread the broke the camels back. Let me go see youtube.. grr.. refx
