Holy **** what did I just do??

I'm pretty sure I deleted some graphics application on my computer, because now I can only select the 16 color option, and everything is HUGE.

I can't get any bigger resolution when I go into the display options in control panel.

What can I do to fix this?? Is there anything I can d/l from the internet??


Yes, I'm a fucking idiot.

You probably deleted your graphics card driver. Find out what kind of graphics card it is and search for it on the internet. Find it, install it, restart, boom.

You probably started in safe mode accidentally.

Restart and it will be fine.

No, I don't think so.

Don't panic, just reinstall the driver to your graphics card (get it off the net, or maybe it came with your machine) and you'll be fine.

I don't even have a graphics card, it's integrated. I checked system properties and it's just "standard PCI graphics adapter", plus there's no card in the motherboard. So uh, I dunno what to do now. I don't have any installation disks or anything because this pc was configured by someone else.

I did take the case off and saw something that I think might have to do with the graphics, so maybe I'll see if I get results searching for that.


If I can't figure this shit out, looks like I'll be getting that laptop I wanted a lot sooner than anticipated, lulz.

I commend you for being so hardcore that you run a 10 year old OS, you are more hardcore than I.

With that said, you could simply get a driver for your integrated graphics card, just google for drivers for your motherboard. If that doesn't work, then get a new machine.

Yeah I'm working on it. But do I need a driver for the WHOLE motherboard? Cause I'm pretty sure I found the graphics chip - should I just go from that?
