I saw Piet at the Guv last winter with Markus. Actually the first time I ever walked into the Guvernment was to see Rank 1.

Thought you TOTAs would get a kick out of this

Nice to hear. Not the first time a DJ has said that. There's an article I read in DJ Mag or iDJ a few years back (2004/2005) where Ferry said the same thing. And correct me if I'm wrong Armin said it too.

All the trance DJs love Guv! Hehe

A friend told me about the DJ Mag ranking last month. DJ Mag's poll shows the Guv is #8 in the world! Pretty sweet when you see the other contenders on the list:

I remember the time back in 05 when Piet came to the predrinks at a pub by Guvvy we were all at... Tyler (i think) and someone else picked him up at his hotel and brought him over.

When they arrived, all the TAs (maybe 20-25 of us?) got up and gave him a standing ovation so to speak.... just mad clapping for a minute.

EVERYONE else in the bar was like "WTF Who is this guy??" you could tell. They were wondering why the hell we all got up to clap at his arrival.... lol

that was funny.


Ya, and for the record: Love Piet. Good guy. Great DJ.

I remember same thing sorta happened to me. ta meet up at a bar by bier market. and some dj that was spinning at the guv was meeting up with all the ta's. I went to said bar to meet up with someone and when i entered the room everyone gave me a standing ovation, and the superstar dj asked me for my autograph. I then proceeded to take someones beverage chugg it throw the glass on the ground, fix my gold tooth and whisk away in my limo.
