Shoutcast server?

So, im in need of a reliable and affordable shoutcast/icecast server for this little project im working on, any recommendations?

Get a dedicated server with 1tb/bw a month hosted in the states. They are like $75/month.

i need a server with the installed capacity to support that many people but im pretty sure the listeners will not get close to that. Just to support them in case, we just want to broadcast some parties sponsored by a local website i do some work for

Well do you guys have a good uplink? And is this a temporary thing or will it be on going?

you're on mixxnet all the time aren't you? and I swear I've seen you in #essentialmix before.

anyway, he has a shoutcast server of his own that he broadcasts the em with, maybe you could talk to him and sort something out real cheap.

we want to try out first and see how it goes before we decide if its gonna be permanent, we have a 512kbps connnection for uplink so we do need a broadcasting server
