Thanks!
hey
sounds good mate, nice melody
typical fruity style synth, but it sounds nice enough for me, so i don't bother
really ferry bass almost as well, nice try
cheers!
LW
We all love the Synth from 'Out of the blue'
The Melody is real goooood, got this Ferry touch on it....maybe it's just me...but the Synth is boring me(cause it's in alot of the Lightworks products)...but thats just my opinion..
keep it coming!
Nice melody, and the bassline is great too
yes because you cant make anything better lol
[EDIT] that didnt come out right!, what i mean is its hard to make trance synths on fruity that sound much different to that without using VST's which i dont like to use :/ [/EDIT]
good job!!! especially like the bass synth
that background synth 'fills' is nicely
very good
really nice melody
only bad thing, is the synth
very typical sound, like every other persons fruity sound
i dont see why people keep using these sounds!!!
anyway
if you were to use a different synth, it would be very very good
keep trying man
Hey,
Man, that melody is sssoo n0ice
And the bassline reminds meof the one in ''Walhalla''
And about the Fruity lead... who really cares about the sound of the lead, its the melody that matters really...

ummm you can edit the vst synths aswell
you can edit cutoff, etc etc
just go to the edit events
and pick what knob you want to edit!
simple as that

Okay, well, iv loaded up my FM7 into fruity... and right clicked on the knob i want to edit the events on...but no options come up... So how do i do it??
About the lead - Yea... i mean... i phat lead that sounds really nice can be watsed by a crap melody... but any kinda ''nice'' synth sound can play a really nice melody and still sound nice... even if the synth sound isnt the best or most original ever
indeed, the synth sound IS important, but some of the fruity sounds are really pretty, especially the ones that sound like ferry... otherwise ferry's tracks would also be shit according to you trancemaster, and i believe you don't think that way
it's the melodies' structure that often makes the track great... look at ppk - ressurection, they used so simple beel-type synths for their melody, yet it's very very effective for alot of people.
well, i'm afraid i have to agree with Dan about the VST plugins like FM7 and VAZ... they both don't allow that easy to use cut off, resonance, filter, velocity (works with FM7 though!) use like the 'normal' synths that are generated with the 3xOSC... that's why i don't like to use them too much too often either.
maybe for the main lead, but if you really want to use them as fading leads, i have to make a clone channel for it, as the velocity etc in the piano roll cannot be applied.
that's why most of the time, i try to replace them with fruity synths that sound a bit like the sounds coming out of VAZ or FM7...
you have a good solution to this trancemaster?
laterz!
LW
You have both made good points and they are both correct
The quality of the sounds very much affect the overall sound of the track!
I am saving for hardware at the moment and if i was to write it using hardware i am sure it would sound a lot better! (of course)
"i dont see why people keep using these sounds!!! "
because that is the best you can get with fruity in terms of the trance sound i was looking for.. plus i don't like using VST's with fruity unless i really have to!
ferry uses fruity now does he???
ferrys tracks dont sound like the 3xosc in fruityloops
and of course its not easy to edit the knobs in vst synths, but that gives people no right to say vst's are shit because of it
not everything is supposed to be easy
you cant expect to do everything for you
you gotta put some work in yourself
on fm7
u dont right click anything
when ur vst is opened
on the top left hand corner
there is a little icon
click it, then click the knob you want to edit
and then simply draw it in
its as easy as that
please tell me a VST that can make a better sounding trance lead than the 3xOSC whilst still retaining a sound that is close to ferry's classic trance synth
i dunno
im more into the SHOKK, Cosmic Gate type sounds
so you will have to find that one out yourself
i have nothing against the fruity 3xosc
its just that every fruity song i hear, the leads sounds almost the same
but of course if u wanna use it, and u like it
then go for it
it doesnt matter what other people think

[EDIT]it's missing the nice background strings since i haven't written them yet :P[/EDIT]
Sounding nice
ok thx trancemaster for the FM7 tips
i didn't say all of the VST plugins were shit or uneasy to work with... i like complex tracks, but they kinda mess up my cpu... nlike reason i've been told.
i wanna learn reason, but it looks oh so confusing and nothing seemed to work like i was used to. gotta spen some time on it hehe
see you later everyone
this topic is turning into a different debate actually hehe
but nevertheless, it's nice to talk about.
