Ovum Recordings
What do you guys think about the direction it has taken lately?
It's always been hit or miss and more often miss. Don't keep enough of a track on 'em to know if they've taken any sort of direction.
Doombot and I were saying that lately the tracks seem a little too stripped down. But in the same regard, if Wink was playing them in a dark club atmosphere they would be rockin. I think without a big system they are boring for the most part. Except "Swirl". That track is off the hook.
Wink - Swirl ![]()
Wink - Stay Out All Night ![]()
Can't say all the tracks from Ovum impress me, but when it's good, it's really good.

| Originally posted by Ted Promo 'scuse me, but did you just not-capslock DOOMBOT? You do realize that the word DOOMBOT can only be spoken in a scream and written in capslock. Oddly enough, you can type capslock without capslock being on, but DOOMBOT follows a certain law of physics which prevents it from being typed in any other style but capslock. You've now been reprimanded properly and I hope than in any future case of you typing DOOMBOT will be wholly rectified. |
exxxxacrrrry
some tracks I love:
Stay Out All Night, Shlomi Aber - Freakside, Chymera - Umbrella, Djinxx - Parasol, Loco Dice - Flight LB 7475
Another label that has seen better days. My personal favourites from ovum:
Josh wink - Freak
Josh Wink - Oakish
wink feat lil louis - hows your evening so far
David Alvarado - Polygons
Rulers of the deep - Dirty grooves
much prefer their earlier sound to what they release these days..
Polygons is head and shoulders above everything else on the label. Both tracks on that record are unreal.
Oakish is class, also love Tom Pooks - Trouble (WiNK edit)
my faves
dozia - drum attack
pete moss - what we had
tom pooks - trouble
taho - shambhalla
wink - swirl
stephan goldman - shimmmer**
looco dice - menina
steve bug - summer nights/houze
wink - 516 acid
love, mark anthony
i'd forgotten all about 516 acid.
sex
Not a big fan, decent music.
It really is hit or miss
Oakish is dope though as was Chymera, Freak, and Freakside
