RIDICULOUS!

Amazing venue and awesome vibe! Wish I was there longer

we got there a bit past 4 and missed a few friends djing unfotunately
can someone please tell me soulwax was not the coolest performance since the daft punk night?

wow! my pics will be up soon.

best suprise..looking for Hatiras at 6. as set times said...he was not to be found.
jammed on...we headed to the upstairs at 10:45 under the covered part. Hatiras was playing the closing set

every dj/band we heard was fuckin rockin!!!

these guys
frtiz helter and the phantoms
www.myspace.com/fritzhelderandthephantoms
most entertaining group hands down

I've never heard A-trak dj before...people in the crowd kept calling it mash ups etc. He was playing all electronic music...would never call that mashups. alot of nurave electro/dance/rock sound..no mashing of the ups. his mixing style was very hip-hop turntablist. very entertaining. he'd drop a vocal line or a melody of a familair song then cut and drop into the next track straight into the climax.

I'm gonna go smokeand try and get these pics up

the general consensus was soulwax needs to be in every club/bar every day of the week...even needs to be outside of your house in the morning before you goto work.

as everyone said...most interesting venue for a party i've ever been to.

I hope these guys do it again next year.

here's my pics...took them from my phone, my digi cam craps out in daylight....so had to use my phone

what a great frigging day. got there around 5, watched VND/LSM and Jokers of the Scene, both were great and got me really pumped. Watched half of A-Trak's set...the rain started coming down but no one was scared off. it only lasted about 10 minutes, and that was it...weather ended up being pretty good. went upstairs to see Heidi...she was fantastic. Super happy and obviously loving what she is doing. Some major tech problems after her set trying to get Matthew Dear going, not sure why they couldn't have let some music play in the background while he hooked up his gear. Also not sure how he made it half way through the first song and it crapped out again. Computer crash?

Went down to see Soulwax, I had never seen them before and was quite impressed. I was up near the front though and the music was ridiculously loud, i had to cover my ears at the buildups. The highs were ear piercing, my ears are still ringing. I had to move farther back. The loudest I have ever heard at a house event.

Went back upstairs to finish Matthew Dear's set, he played a wicked song called "Fox in the Box"...then finished the night with Hatiras. Too bad he only played for like 20 minutes. Just the Tip finished it off.

Venue was great, I loved all the trees and the fountain on the main level. I love that there were two distinct stages, with different sounds. I tend to be a bit of a wanderer. Huge variety of colourful people there, great to see.

I went to the Social afterwards for the afterparty, I don't know who was playing but probably one of the worst dj's i have ever heard, trainwreck into screeching siren into hip-hop into trainwreck.

All in all I would definitly check out an Embrace production again. Heard so many good songs today.

Work is going to suck tommorow big time.

He's pretty much the most talented Canadian DJ ever.

Dude, that was 2ManyDjs (Soulwax) and Erol Alkan and A-Trak going track for track.. it was sweet! They were hammered and having fun and playing random songs from each other's collection.. of course there trainwrecks! Fuck in got pictures of Erol Alkan wiping drinks off his CDs lol....

But anyways...

TIME FEST = EPIC!

I can't wait for another one, shitty weather at first, but great vibe and awesome acts... great venue.. big enough but comfortable...

Drinks were expensive as shit tho!

new strand of emo...instead of showing their sadness through suicidal gestures, they display they sorrow through many shades of neon colors and plastic sunglasses that look like open blinds..

Not all girls can wear tights!

Definitely some 'interesting' fashion.. some good... some BAD!

LOVED LOVED LOVED the venue!

A-trak was awesome.
Erol Alkan was good.
Soul Wax was not my thing, although I only caught about 10 minutes.

It was surprising LOUD. My ears were ringing afterwards.

Dancing in the rain was fun

Didnt really hear any of the DJs inside. The vibe was very monotone and dull. Music was a hit or miss whenever I went up.

fun times despite the shit weather

got there around 5 Johnny White was finishing up his set, the place was pretty much empty. Nittin played some wiked tunes, I seriously like him more and more every time i c him since Cherry Beach. The vibe was kinda lacking though, it just wasnt enough people i guess.

Downstairs was more happenign, not familiar with any of teh dj's that were playing down there, but the crowd seemed to dig it.

The crowd was definatly an interesting one to say teh least. Lots of funky/weird/extravagant outfits, and ya never seen that many tights/skinny jeans in my life lol

The guy who played before Heidi officially had the worst programming ive evere heard, he played a slow remix of sending out SOS followed by a hard techno track during which i left to the washroom and when i came back he had a trance track going lol

Heidi was awsome, she always gets so into it, dancing behind the decks, fun to watch, her set was pretty minimal in the beginning but with a funky groove through out, lots of layering and cool melodies.

MATTHEW DEAR <3
One of the best sets this yr for me. Despite all the sound problems in the beginning. Pure funky groovy, at times dark and twisted Techno.

Great seeing everyone, and LOVE LOVE LOVE the venue, would definatly love to c more parties there
the only thing that sucked is the no in and outs privileges
