Freeware FTP Client
I'm looking for a freeware FTP client. I've used SmartFTP for a couple years and was pretty happy with it until their latest major update and their recent move to a retail package. I liked SmartFTP's older releases with less focus on graphical content and their classic interface.
I've tried Filezilla and was underwhelmed. Can anyone recommend a decent freeware client to substitute for SmartFTP? I don't want to pirate the software but I'm hard pressed to drop 40 bucks on something I could easily solve with a freeware solution.

| Originally posted by treeboo Unfortunately, the old version connects to their server and checks for updates. It demands you download a new version and doesn't start. There's probably away around that, but i haven't had time to invest in finding it. Id rather support another open source or freeware version anyways if possible. Thanks for the link w-Ash. Ill check her out |

It's a struggle to get anything going, really. There are some people trying, at least. But usually, an EDM night will run for a few months and then disappear. People here don't know how to "Crank Dat House Music".
The best free FTP client I've found is http://filezilla-project.org/
Check it out.
