Looks like America backstabbed another "friend" of theirs!!!I dont know why anyone with some brain cells would even consider a country like the US as a friend or ally for that matter.

pardon my ignorance sasha...

my background on the russian - georgian conflict is slightly weak. I assume you are talking about the georgian president? whats the story here?

me too. I have tried BBC and other slightly-less-biased news sources. The gist I get is that Georgia attacked South Ossetia (whom are separatists) and Russia jumped in to defend/retaliate? is that correct or no?

thats right... here is the BBC "play-by-play".. check out the start of events
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7551576.stm

financial times
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/7863e71a-...00779fd18c.html

and yahoo uk
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/blog/edito...ner/article/16/

really hard to find an unbiased account (or clsoe to unbiased) of the events

So Russia launched another cyber attack on Georgia, mostly government computers. They brought down the gov network and president's site.

Very same tactic they used against Estonia last year, when they started talking back.

The world should fear Russian hackers.

Not really Bobby. If they did something extraordinary, then yeah, but DoS is a really old method, and it takes one smart guy to write the script, and dozens of retards to copy and run it.

we do. But fortunately for us, we have that sweet crude aphrodisiac that makes them show us they care.

Agreed.

But my feeling is that these events are state sponsored, and therefore part of a larger blueprint. It is not the actual attack I fear, but the intentions and minds behind the attack.

Exactly what would you have US do? (that makes sense and doesn't escalate the conflict into WW3)
