Could happen one of these day's

Idk if the union between Ultra & WMC has come to an end; it's only inevitable that the two will part cities.I don't think it will be soon but I think an ever moving WMC or Ultra site would be a step in the right direction....all be it loosing concern for the fans and convenience of stability, I can still see it happening.

Fine move ultra it sucks anyways. I hope they never move wmc and don't think they ever will. Where would they move it? NY? That would suck ass wmc is a vacation from life sun beach booze and drugs and awesome music wmc is where it belongs.

Rumor on the Miami streets is that it may be moving to Fort Lauderdale in 2009....

IDT Ultra sucks, well at least not out loud lol.

Doubt it'll move, but w/e. I'll stick to the pool parties.

From what I have gathered Bicentennial park keeps jacking up their prices and UMF has had it. Bicentennial feels they have a captive audience with Ultra because there is no other place in Miami that can host it. According to sources, Ultra has been in negotiation with the city of Fort Lauderdale to move it back to the beach (as it was in 1998) but move it to Fort Lauderdale beach vs Miami.

It will be interesting to see if this actually goes down....It would be amazing to bring this event back to the ocean again.

How many city blocks would it take up though?

It will never be in FT Laud. Too many white dorks and not enough of a fun clubbing scene. Sorry. Having Ultra in Ft Laud while the parties are in downtown and the beach is retarded.

Miami has no sort of *decent* transportation and it will never work. Ultra ppl aren't stupid like u think. I don't know ur sources but pls shut up. Rumors are for loser.

Honey.. considering I've thrown parties for 5 years and hosted the likes of Mauro Picotto, Sander Kleinenberg, Dubtribe Live PA, Chris Liebing, The Ministry of Sound World Tour, John "00" Fleming, Marco V, LTJ Bukem & Mc Conrad, The World of Drum and Bass and countless other events....I think I am pretty fucking dialed in to the EDM community and it's happenings.

You have nothing to do with any of the ppl that actually do throw Ultra - and so your rumors aren't wanted. It's the same bull shit every year and it's annoying. Ultra's moving.. Wmc is moving.. Your mom is moving..etc.. it get's old.

What does the booking agent have to do with who throws the party? Who do you think promoters typically book the artists from?

And for the record, I booked Danny (LTJ) directly from himself since he and I are friends and WODB I book from SS direct (also a personal friend). Never had to go through booking agents on either of these tours/artists.

Okay, so congrats on being friends with dj's but I know SS doesn't come to Miami *outside of wmc* unless it's a few month before cuz he's gotta get stuff ready for that WMC party. SO i know u have nothing to do with wodnb. Mihai prob finds him the club and SS gets the same dj's to spin every year.


But again - congrats on probably throwing awesome all ages parties/raves in the northern part of s. fla.

Just please.. worry about ur parties.. and stop starting rumors. That's all I'm trying to get at.

My rep does speak for itself. I have absolutely nothing to prove. I do think its funny that internet warriors that have NO IDEA like to talk like they have a clue on how events are produced or thrown. That dj is "Mihai's artist". What does that have to do with anything.

You being a "dj" I would expect more from you llavo. The hardest thing is contracts and $$$$??? Is that what you believe? That is the easiest part about event coordination. HOW ABOUT BLOODY PROMOTION? Now that is where the challenge comes in. Putting people in a club and packing it out consistantly. How about coordinating flights, hotels, ground transportation, sound system rig rentals, laser rentals, security personal and bar staffing. How about making sure your event doesn't clash with that of another promoter and split the crowd so to speak. There is a lot of things that make up a successful party that people seem to think are quite easy but require a good bit of time, energy and expertise. I negotiate contracts for a living so that part is not a challenge for me personally.

We have retired, it is no secret. I invested more than $200k of my personal money to build some really special events in Atlanta. Not for profit, but because I felt there was a void at that time in Atlanta nightlife. I am a finance director by day and love dance music and took the leap and had a lot of fun doing it. I still communicate with booking agents and club promoters from around the country that have become friends over the years. Call it a hobby if you will.

We aborted the maddhatterradio name when we ceased our internet broadcasting and continued in our quest for solid event production and artist management. We then became MaddHatter Promote Group.

I am still involved in coordinating talent for events in the south east and assist with placement of artists from time to time in Atlanta and Charlotte for other promoters & nightclubs.

There's too much contradiction in what your are saying and posting, and I do not argue on forums...

For someone who does contracts for a living to question a 20% gratuity in a south Florida Hotel/casino after leaving a tab, I do not expect to get anywhere with this thread.
