Well to warm up , i would choose Gouryella-Walhalla , then move onto a bit of dumonde (never look back or tommorrow) then finish with a bit of Guyver- serious sound , THEN

go and have a beer and a burger and wonder what the fuck i just did

Soooooo true!

My own laboured breathing.

Normally I work out in the weight room at my university. The music that usually plays over the loudspeaker is bad heavy rock stuff, country, or radio rap.

They usually play happy hardcore or Scouse house at the gym I used to go to. They used to play one mix CD over and over again, which I remember because it had this typically awful Scouse cover of the Disco Evangelists' "De Niro".

I don't really find music very helpful when working out anyway. I suppose it might be good if you're doing cardio or rowing or whatever, but when I lift weights I try to be slow and smooth, not rapid fire.

For workouts I love listening a live set! Not just any essential mix will do however, it has to bump pretty damn hard and I MUST be able to hear the crowd go apeshit! Hearing all those damn people go wild (even the douche bag who brings a whistle) does wonders for my adrenaline levels. I guess I have thing for attending those massive events .

Some of my favorites:

Paul Oakenfold - Essential Mix Live from Gatecrasher, Lotherton Hall (Broadcast Sunday 20th June 1999)
Paul Oakenfold - Essential Mix Live @ Creamfields, Liverpool (Broadcast Sunday, August 29th, 1999)
Tiesto - Live @ Cream, Amensia 2005

Even though I don't like the guy + his music. I have to say that Tiesto @ Trance Energy 2000 is a great set to work out to. It's the only thing he's produced that I'll listen to though.
