what'd you expect from a guy whose solution to the budget shortfall was to cut the wages of 200,000 gov workers to the federal minimum wage (lower than the state minimum wage) while all the top administrators keep their six figure incomes and overtime payouts that amount to the same six figures? he's also borrowing from the state lottery fund, which normally goes to public education. all this when the simple solution would be to reinstate the vehicle licensing fee... genius

The state income tax rate in California caps @ 9.3% plus. The sales tax rates are around 7.5%. Contrast that with other states . . . with much smaller populations.

What are they doing with the money???

People think that the state is getting less money, ITS NOT!

More people = more spending = more tax money = more money to the state.

Thing is, hes cutting up the budget pie chart VERY wrong. Some areas of the pie chart shouldn't even be getting as much money as they do, but Ahhhhhnold wants to help out his friends so at the end you and I get fucked.

So lets see, lets spend more on "homeland security" "hud" "section 8" etc etc. But now, we need to pull money from the DMV, schools, law enforcement...

I would imagine a lot of the budget goes to transfer payments ie pensions etc . . .
