It was supposed to be the official Hot Chip Afterparty in the Venetian room with Hot Chip doing a DJ set but looks like it is not happening now. I was just in the process of sending it out. They wern't charging us anything for it so there really isn't any change in prices. It was just an added bonus that we were getting but the only stipulation was were were not able to announce it till the night of. Maybe next time

how was the Benassi set? i've wanted to see him for years, the last time he was in town i didn't find out about it until the week after and this time it was on a Thursday night, due to working 12 hours a day and having to wake up at 6am to start my day I simply didn't have the energy for a weekday event

Overall I had a great night. Non-controllable issues aside (like the crowd that would NOT stop moving). I thought Benny's tracks were heavy and had the typical Benassi sound. However they rarely varied and pretty much each track sounded the same with a heavy electro bassline + minimal melody. His tracks really stood out from the rest of the tracks played since they were they only ones with any real melody (not that i'm a melody freak, I just like variety). The sound there was very bassey which was nice but I noticed the highs had this weird sound to them that hurt my ears.
