Sorry bro
If you haven't tried already, you may be able to use a file recovery program to get back some of your recent data (even after formatting) unless the drive was physically damaged/files were overwritten.

Terrible thing to happen but it is partly your fault for not backing up. Let this be a lesson and learn from it. It happened to me once upon a time, now i back up everything to several different locations regulary.

.
when you use a pc for making music only and not for surfing the web and typing reports and crap nothing happens. You don't get viruses from sample cd's.

That is one ugly paragraph, makes my head hurt just reading it.
Man... I feel your pain. It was the years of photos that hurt more than my 'early days' music. Nowadays Im a fairly secure Mac user with the wonderful Time Machine on hand should the worst happen... Tut..

| Originally posted by Mr.Mystery Yeah, I've lost all my stuff a couple of times as well. In a way it's been a good thing because I've had to start from a completely blank page and have had nothing of my usual trickery/presets/old habits to fall back on. It's forced me to be more creative. |
I believe the problem was somewhere between the chair and the computer...but with that I don't say I am not sorry about your loss
, that sucks man...

Ow man! This really sucks. Sorry for your loss, may your files rest in peace!
This is the reason I don't have my music computer hooked on the internet.
I always have my music pc hooked on the internet
. The internet is way too handy. No antivirus or anti spyware software installed either.
Some people just don't know how to use a pc right.
