Looking forward to seeing the announcement. The question is, will it be enough to pull me from Richmond St. (Halloween is the best (re: only) time of year to go there
).

| Originally posted by Skipper I will admit that the Opera House, despite being a pretty cool venue, just didn't have the same vibe that 99 did in 2006. I'd probably put Beyer @ 99 sudbury on my top 5 parties of all time (and I think a lot of other people would too). There was just something in the air that night! |
I think that The Opera House is an awesome venue. Especially for techno, and especially for Halloween. I didn't go to the Beyer party last year, but I can't think of a better venue for Halloween tbh.

| Originally posted by Jem_hadar Honestly, Graham, that's 100% (like, EXACTLY) what I said and yelled from the roof tops on TA before going last year... But it just didnt turn out to be such, for me anyways. Funny that your thoughts mirrored mine PERFECTLY though last year. |

Opera House isn't bad. It's a cool spot but security there can be hit and miss. FYI, every time I've been there they made each person take their shoes off during the search.
I might consider going to this but it looks like there also might be a Halloween rave so I'd rather go to that.
warehouse rave>opera house

Opera House can be a dope venue.
you just need to not have too many lights..
and the real biggie is the sound... I've been to so many events there where people use the house system.. it's not meant for dance music, but you can add to it to make it sound great. 4-6 more bassbins to the front of the stage and 2 stacks in the back corners, each with 2-3 bins and 2 tops to fill it out and give the 4 corner sound. dopeness.
The vibe and the venue was more that adequate last year...it was Beyer's set that was the missing piece.

Funny, I don't think I've ever been searched at the Opera House.
