Minimal

Half Hawaii live PA @ Watergate (Bruno Pronsato & Sammy Dee)

This is minimal, and this is stuff I can fucking appreciate...

A majority of folks will think this is absolute garbage, and that is exactly the way it should be.

The Watergate is awesome.

This set is fucking SOLID.

are funky progressive house djs ever hosted at watergate or is it all tech/minimal?

Posted by Zild on Aug-21-2008 18:59:

Thanks for the set.

I hope there are no funky progressive house DJs at Watergate.

It's all a certain vein of DJ that can play pretty much everything under the sun if they want to.

The majority is techno and minimal, yes.

He's very good. He must've improved his mixing a lot 'cause there were rumours he trainwrecks, and when I saw him this summer, he was almost flawless. Great trackselection and set flow, too.

Edit: Kinda funny he gets a mention in a 'Minimal' thread:

Maybe he just plays sloppy when he's super fucked up. Has happened to me before.

I'm pretty sure inconspicuous or diggerz stepped on Bruno Pansato's favorite shoes at DEMF.

I'm having a hard time believing that he cared about people stepping on his beat up converse.

Posted by elFreak on Aug-21-2008 19:28:

Either one of them can tell the story in a much funnier fashion.

Also, please see this (click) re: how much the hipster set care about their "beat up" stuff.

It isn't that they don't care, it's that the "beat up"-ness is all about of the deliciously ironic image these fellows maintain with incredible dedication.

ugg Rob, stop caring.. stop mentioning it.

p.s. great set.

I think you guys are all taking something I thought was funny way, way too seriously.

I thought it was funny. I'm going to have to ask Enrique to elaborate for me.

I'd try to expand, but I think I heard the story at like 9AM Monday morning at Old Miami. Details that don't have to do with Aretha Franklin are sketchy at best
