It shouldn't be, but I've always thought his productions to be very slick (a little too so actually), it just seems funny that someone as well known and technically accomplished as him should still be asking randoms for help on a forum.

not everyone is perfect in doing something they slightly are already good at in the beginning. There's always room for learning simple stuff to more technical things as well.

there's nothing rong with seeking advice from people be it pro or otherwise. i know plenty of big gus who often seek thaughts and ideas from lesser acompleshed artist.

The Tiesto thing was a lousy joke. Tiesto mostly doesn't even produce his own tracks anymore.

You don't have to know everything about everything to create fantastic songs. Not every producer reads their DAW manual from cover to cover and makes sure they know about every little function, even those not really applicable to their style. New software, new versions come out, and all the top producers have to learn about the changes, same as everyone. They might be a bit quicker at working it out since they've probably got more experience, but it's just as fine for them to ask questions as it is for less experienced producers.
