Going to be in SF this weekend....(suggestions?)

Hello all. I am going to be in SF proposing to my girlfriend and am going to want to go out and party while I'm in town. Any suggestions? Been to SF a few times and got to check out Sunshine Jones while I was there....amazing night.

Anyway, house to techno, DnB to trance I listen to just about everything. What is going to be worth checking out? I am in town Saturday-Tuesday....

1015 Most Definately where the party is at sat. San Francisco TA headquarters. This is the only Trance-centric venue in the city. Also, the largest venue with 4 separate rooms with 4 separate genres.

1015 Folsom Sat night it is then. Hit up one of the DJs from the thread with first and last names. Just start chiming in on that thread and you'll pretty much be walking into a club full of friends. You'll have your choice of music too.

Hip Hop only from 10-11 then the EDM rooms open so don't trip when you first walk in if you get there early. There will be four rooms this night. If you're still up and running at 6am, I'll even take you over to the legendary End Up around the corner.

Best 21 and over EDM club will be at 1015 this coming weekend if you like house or trance. Just in case you want to chill, then there is a hip hop room in there as well. Look me up or anyone playing this night for Glist.

There are a number of events. Look in the SF Parties Calendar that's stickied as someone else said. Note that if you are 21+, there's no 18+ EDM club in SF...but there is a special one-off event Saturday night featuring a pretty darn good lineup. Be warned, prob gonna be lots of candy kids...Can't stand them and not sure how much I'll be able to tolerate. Think this is easily the best lineup, but if I can't it I'll prob bail to 1015, back to 21+ heaven.

Dave, I'm just speaking about the 21 and over venues. Not raves.

You're right Dave......I was going to mention Carnival because it is a damn good line up but the dude's visiting SF and proposing to his girl. In all seriousness, 1015 is going to be the place for him. Him and his fiance will be treated well, they'll be able to celebrate with a group TAs, have room to dance, be able to experience some of the same perks as regulars, free guestlist, decent drink prices, not be trapped in the middle of a hot, sweaty sea of goofy kids, AND THE MUSIC IS GOING TO BE JUST AS GOOD if not better with more variety.

And......He'll even see you at 1015 about 1am after you've spent $100, sweat your ass off without moving, and asked yourself, "why the hell didn't I just go to 1015 in the first place?"

And....if he were coming in Friday (as I orignally "promoted"), Menno is most likely going to be partying with us at Heights Lounge. Soooo.....Which is the better choice? See ya 1015 Dave.

BTW: You should also check out Club Cocomo on Sunday at 2pm. I'll probably do 1015 sat night, End Up Sunday morning, then Club Cocomo at 2pm. Cocomo really is my favorite venue for a day party.

Thanks for the info. I did see the Carnival party, but to be honest...I'm 32 and I cannot handle the candy kids so 1015 sounds good. Even though I am not a huge fan of Ruby Sky...we may hit it up first for Max Graham as I am loving his new mix release that came out last month. (as long as we are listed for it that is!) The last time I went there the money just disappeared quickly!

Looking forward to seeing everyone out. I would love to meet some of you that night....

By the way, in my previous life I was an Atlanta promoter who was responsible for hosting some truly special events from 2003-2007 (when I retired from throwing parties)in the Atlanta area. I have hosted Marco V, Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing, John "00" Fleming, Sander Kleinenberg, Seb Fontaine, Dubtribe, The Ministry of Sound World Tour, The World of Drum and Bass, LTJ Bukem & Mc Conrad and many many more.
