OMG!!!! totally worth the money!!! buy it! it's great shit!

i was so nasty as baraka in mortal kombat
Back-back-low punch (IIRC)
I saw it in one of my classes.
Some of the pictures and scenes are pretty moving. Actually all the photos are beautiful.
Soundtrack is pretty good too.
Go for it.

haha I was watching with my mates Koyaanisqatsi and they kept saying how similar those films were. I have yet to check it out.
If you like stuff like that i recommend Quatsi films , the first one was from 83 i think

I just watched a bunch of random clips of this as I've been interested since Myra brought it up over the weekend - looks epic, cannot wait to see it.
It basically looked like if the people who shot and edited Planet Earth made a bit more conceptual documentary with no words. ![]()
sweet. it's on my long list of movies to get... but i think i'll wait for the special edition to come out in October.
baraka will slice yo face!!
pro tip: do watch it stoned
It's a really cool film. I watched it two years ago (although I was slightly drunk for the last half).
The most memorable portion for me was the baby chickens. I won't spoil anything, but there was something about that scene that just threw me off guard.
I've tried to become a vegetarian twice, but I keep failing.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
For a solid year or two my buddies and I would always watch this movie when we got stoned back in high school. We got different philosophies and life lessons from the movie every time! I've even watched it a few times while tripping - this movie is the BEST!
There's a sequel in production right now called Samsara. Can't wait for that either!
Thats one of my favorite soundtracks. I have listened to it like 200 times. Plus I have to say Baraka is a GREAT film to watch with a chick that you want to start making out with. Seriously I think it might be the best of any film for that ever. There is no dialog just sad beautiful music. Invite a girl over turn off the lights and lay on horizontal on the couch spooning her. You will be digging her out in less then 50 minutes my word !
...or you can dig her out right away like a man.
she's at your house, she didn't come for popcorn.
fag.
They had it playing at a club out here once. Pretty sweet. Other than that I can't really see any practical application

Oh, yes sir.. I can boogie! But I need a certain song...
It's a great film. I bought it a few years ago based on a few choice reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It's like a cross between Planet Earth and Powaqatsi... personally I like both of those a bit better, but I guess that just makes Baraka too much of a good thing.

What they are doing I am pretty sure is they are burning the sharp points off the beaks of baby chicks so that way when they are put in cages that are barely big enough for them to fit in they don't try and commit chicken suicide by pecking themselves to death. Its really horrible .. I bet a lot of people went or tried to go Vegan after seeing that shit .... |
yes. i've only seen the segment that shows dead can dance's "the host of seraphim", but that part is really amazing (and awful, at the same time, but for nothing to do with the film), so i definitely need to pick this up as well. thanks for reminding me!

This movie is my visual of choice when staying in and eating shrooms.
highly recommended with or without the fungus
