That's too bad you missed it, cuz it was awesome! First time at footwork and it didn't disappoint, pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be. Brought a lot of non-EDMers with me and they were all dancing their asses off. Given I havn't found any Wolfgang Gartner sets (I guess this new avatar is reeeeally fresh), I was wondering how his DJing would compare to his productions/remixes (which I love) and now I know they are equal. Dir-ty. Here's a taste (his remix of Helium). It's short, but something (note: I couldn't get any light shining onto the crowd or the DJ booth).
I was only there until about 4. Anything huge happen after that?
Ps. I went nuts when he dropped his stuff like Frenetica and Play Dub. Also, i'm pretty sure I heard a dirty mashup/mix of "Coburn - We interrupt this program". Also I think early on Jelo played "Wideboys - Daddy-O" which I think has vocals by one of the all-saints. The Micky slim version is sick (i can't remember if that was the one, but interesting since he's at footwork next week).
Also, great to meet you Jon Jon, you the man.
I thought it was a pretty mediocre night to be honest.. I got there just before Jelo started, and his set was pretty short, but seemed kinda all over the place. I don't know what happened but the music cut out on him a couple times as well.
I was loving the tracks that Wolfgang dropped, but he didn't have a great flow to the set and I actually found my self wanting to step out for a smoke to take a break from it.
I still had a good night though, I have not been to footwork in a couple months and really missed the place.
